subbed and following dude good luck this year with your goal. (luckily you play zoom so hopefully were never have to battle each other ha).

Hey OP, first off big fan.

If you run bad and don't make it to 100z by this year should we expect a new thread in 2019? Maybe even a new goal perhaps? 200z?

3x co and btn

i do 4x utg, utg +1
3.5x co
3x btn
i open everything just pot personally keeps things simple i dont faff about with this 2-2.5opening dont believe it acheives much whatsoever either as bluff or for value same goes with my 3bets pot it and if someone fish or station or calls 3bets too wide light i bump it up for value (im quite tight though as a player, if i was more how i used to be and playing 41% of my hands roughly then i can see merit in opening smaller as mathematically it makes sense as your range is always far wider and relatively weak alot of the time, but cause im tight i like forcing people to pay to see flops if there getting involved with me as normally my range is always stronger then my opposition now (screw balance, im definitely someone who seeks out fat ev spots now as opposed to marginal in the past, partly due to fact i actually multitable now and i wouldnt be able to keep up or play a wide range profitably while playing that many tables id miss too much important information, so playing on the tighter more fat ev side means im not rushed in my decision making which is good keeps quality of my play relatively high and also means longterm regardless should profit if getting frequencies right, also makes you hard to exploit at all, but saying that if i was to playing zoom honestly id probably play closer to 41% vpip as it makes sense as people seem overly tight and nitty in the zoom pools from what i do remember you can exploit that massively if you balance it right, i dont play zoom though as honestly think bit of a rake trap and i just dont like the format cant get much table dynamics going back and forth etc i just dont enjoy playing poker like that you wouldnt play live game in that manner so thats main reason i dont play it).

no one knows exactly whats game theory optimal is (also it will constantly change with time depending on so many variables, pokers not solved game or simple ha its really very complex no cookie cutter answers ever in it really) lots of people just have ideas/strats that have historically worked for them but again the ideal strat changes from one table/game to the next and from one opponent to another, so really you should always be thinking once you get comfortable at the table get a feel for your opponents, working out what mistakes your opponents are making with there hands/streets then exploiting those mistakes designing specific strategy game plans for each opponent to part them with there money, and trying to minimise your own mistakes yourself that is it person who makes the least mistakes wins longterm as long as beat the rake too (think why mental control/tilt control/ego control is a massive contributor to whether a poker player is successful longterm, that and bankroll management, mean you could have the best strategy/game in the world but it means jack**** if you dont follow it at all times and tilt off your whole roll or winrate in one bad session, mean edges in poker normally regardless are quite small if playing against people with a clue so tilt is financial suicide in poker and obvs edges are huge if your playing against fish though).

but yh theres no such thing as game theory optimal in poker and if there is it will change from one day/month to the next, so best thing you can do is try to play as logically and unemotional as can do at all times if you play logically correct then naturally you will be playing mathematically correct poker too.

Nice heater right?
10 NL zoom is gonna be my office for the next 3 months. Because i don't like 16nlz.
I'll play a few hands at 16nlz, but I am planning on leaping from 10nlz to 25nlz on december.
I traded my 5000 starcoins for $50

Thanks IKP, SOMF and LBX!

@Labax Yes. I have always thought about naming it $200 NLz 'til infinity. But now I am thinking about naming it: Zoom 'til Infinity. What do you think?

@SOMF Thank you very much for your contributions sir.

@IKP

Today I had a poker enlightenment experience.
Last year I bumped an 8 year old thread about win rates.
In my mind crushing 100 nlz was making 3-4 bb / 100 hands.
Then reality hit me hard when I saw IKP’s monthly graph crushing 100 nlz for 13bb/100h or something.

Update: Played 1k hands at 5NLz. No more puzzles it seems.

BR $50.81
