It's not stupid if you learn stuff from it, unless you are getting crushed and losing too much $ obv

Agree with you guys that you have to beat the best to be the best.
It's not always about being +EV in a game. It's about fun, motivation and competition as well. If you can hang with those guys and then play lower stakes, you'll get back the money anyway.

I'm not sure who the top 5 is, as I've only played Kanu once and 26071985/fish2013 a couple times.
OTB I think has the best A-game out there, but he plays differently all the time. Sauce would definitely make a top 10 list, maybe top 5 as well.

Does anyone know how to set TN2 open raising sizes? I want the big BTN to be 2.5x, so I don't have to click the smaller BTN first the whole time.

There will be no hashtagging in this thread, bro.

There's basically three types of 5k regs: Elite regs who play (almost) anyone, second tier regs who plays some reg games and some fish games, and there's pure bumhunters.

There's a couple of second tier guys in those games, and they're all ''hunting'' other second tier guys.
Sauce is imo in the elite reg group, even though he doesn't put in huge volume. I'm 99% sure he's not the spot at the table, but obviously I can't say who I think is the weakest second tier reg.

I believe those elite regs are overestimating their edge over these "second tier regs" though

well except redbaron, redbaron just does not lose

Won 14k today and I played well in my first 2/3 sessions. I'm trying to get 3200 VPPs a day, but I notice that after 2500, there's just no more will to play, and I autopilot my way to the end.

The plan was to post three hands, but PT4 is a garbage product that refuses to coorporate.

Super thin value jam, based on stats, recent history and timing tells. He auto-called river, and somehow I won.

Pre-Flop: (54, 6 players) Hero is SB A 9
3 folds, BTN raises to $50, Hero raises to $200, 1 fold, BTN calls $150

Flop: J 8 7 ($444, 2 players)

Hero bets $280, BTN calls $280

Turn: A ($1,004, 2)

Hero bets $734.15, BTN calls $734.15

River: 4 ($2,472.30, 2)

Hero goes all-in $1,562.80, BTN calls $1,562.80

Final Pot: $5,597.90
BTN shows
J 10
Hero shows a pair of Aces
A 9

Hero wins $5,594.90 (net +$2,813.95)

The difference between the top regs and the second tier regs is pretty big. I don't know how many BBs the difference is, but you can instantly see they've put in way more work into their strategy.

Anyone know the answer to my TN2 question?

I don't think TN2 can adjust raise size by position. I think most people use StarsHelper.

How can you instantly see something like that? Are they just balancing more non standard lines?

I've seen it in multiple videos. Let's say the sizing they use most is 2.5x, and the players will have it set up in a way where the big button isn't set to a min-raise, but the raise sizing they've chosen.

You see that in the standard spots they just do stuff differently. They have more different sizings and lines. It's not just big pots or tricky spots.

This guy has it set up where the BTN in the middle changes the sizing to 10.9, where 10 is standard at 500 Zoom. I want to customize that BTN as well.
Right now I have the press one of the small BTNs up top to get my custom sizing.

Yeah I think that's probably StarsHelper.

Yeh. It would be interesting to know how many hours these guys put in away from the tables.

if sauce is ever seen as a spot by the other elite regulars(like 4 of them in the world) it is only because they think he havent played much lately , he got alot of stuff going on in his life than to put in massive amounts of offtable work on a already toptop game. if they spot him playing more intensively for a period they probably are less inclined to think so/ to sit as they know he is brushing up/working on his game.

This is pure speculation from the rail obviously as I have absolutely no clue. I just think katya, otb is the very elite and the rest closely after.

subconscious attack; coach me

I looked back at the lineup, and imo it's pretty clear that Katya is the best player in the lineup, and Sauce is number two.
The rest is much closer, and everyone probably has a different opinion. There is no true weak spot there.

You're just trying to angle me into writing a list.

then again, one of them is on a humongous upswing, cards are rigged in his favor, ez #1 in that lineup

Man I started out running super hot at 2k and 5k and then lost all of it to one guy in a huge ass beating.
Time to go out to dinner with friends now.

What's your biggest downswing both in terms of dollar and/or buyins? The swings got to be insane when playing 3-handed and battling at 5k etc, right? And what's the longest b/e stretch.. It's really inspiring to see guys battle each other at 5k! Keep it up, nice pgc as well
