I wrote more about this in my blog today, but some cliff notes are:

- Woke up today with food poisoning
- Low volume, decent results
- Hoping to feel better tomorrow

I don't know what caused it, but if I had to guess it'd be some of the food I picked up at the market. Probably the sun dried pork, which I'm sure is a haven for bacteria. But a day off from the full grind and from the gym was probably something my body needed, I don't remember the last day I didn't lift and the last time I put in less than five hours of work was May 4th, when I was in Macau/Hong Kong.

Yeah, some rest should do me good.

Just found this, GLGL man. My not-so-secret secret aspiration for my next career is to be a Disney Imagineer (ride designer) so I am jealous that you went to Hong Kong Disneyland. I might be down to join you on a future Visa run!

Slept 12 hours last night plus a 3 hour nap earlier in the day and I'm feeling much better this morning. Not 100%, but the headache has lessened.

Let me know, it'd be nice to go with someone else although having other tourists take my picture does have its charm. Heading there again in a month or so with a friend from back home.

Still had a few pangs of the abdominal cramps today but I felt sooooooo much better than the day before and hope to be 100% by tomorrow.

Poker wise, I took a look on Sharkscope and realized I'm on a 3k game break-even stretch. Somewhat depressing, I suppose, but in these situations the thought of my eventual upswing makes me giddy with excitement.

And the only thing that stands between a god-like run and the countless binks that come with it is volume.

Volume, volume, volume.

If I keep putting in the games, soon enough I'll catch up. And it'll take a healthy amount of run good to get there, so much so that by the time I get close I won't even be celebrating anymore. After my umpteenth suckout, my only reaction will be...

I'm not a big basketball fan but I really liked your last blog post. I had only briefly heard about that situation. Inspiring stuff! Keep up the volume and no doubt the results will come. GL

Think I got trolled at the gym today.

A bit of background -- I try to *only* wear a certain type of t-shirt to the gym. Not exactly sure how I'd classify it, but they include superhero shirts, Disney characters, wrestling themes, etc. Douchey? Awesome? Awesomely douchey? For whatever reason I feel like there's more attention on me when I do this and that puts more pressure on me to work harder.

Today, I wore this:

Note the Captain America hoodie crumpled on the left side

And the fake Kobe Bryant jersey on my bed

One of the trainers is this Thai guy who loves to say "wow." His grasp on the English language isn't great, but he'll do his best to have a conversation and eventually it just resorts to him listening/responding with "wow." Anyway, I'm weighing in and he asks me what my shirt means. For a second I struggle to think of an explanation for the colloquialisms of showing-off and back it up, but then it hits me and I know exactly how to express it in terms he'll be able to comprehend.

Showing off is doing something that makes other people say wow

Him: Wow.

Now I don't think my explanation was really that "wow worthy," so either he didn't understand or he's trolling me pretty hard.

With the effects of food poisoning in the rearview, it's time to get back to the grind.

So, I berated a few regs today.

I didn't target anyone specifically, it was more of a general attack on the lot of them for not using any game selection. I think I had 3-4 games with seven regulars and only one random which is fine in a $60 but horrendous in a $15. So I unregged out of the lobbies for, I dunno, 45 seconds, and the regulars got to play each other and I got more fish. Everyone wins -- rakeback pros get rakeback, I get table profits and rakeback.

I think in one of the reggier games I jammed JTo into JJ and the reg who doubled through me posted this in chat.

Pretty sure these stupid emoticons are the new "ty" that will send a lot of guys over the edge. I have to admit if I was running terribly and got trolled like that after getting in bad/losing another tournament, there's a slim chance I go on crazy monkey tilt. In before I get a bunch of smiley faces from regs.

Oh yeah, results. Made a little bit of money but still well short of my goals. On a positive note I did pass $5k EV in Hypers for the month so that's almost as good as actually winning $5k. Almost. Two days left in the month and then I'll tally the profit totals, post graphs, all that fun stuff.

Spoiler:
P.S. Sandmanness is trying to convince me to post shirtless pictures itt. So if he posts one of himself, I'll do it.

      The Good:

Green/red lines in STTs and Hypers. Especially the second set, where I made like 40 BI of equity and 50 BI of real money

      The Bad:

My internet? Ugh, I don't know what's going on. Stars wouldn't work on my backup air card either, but webpages would load. I was only 'materially affected' (God I hate that phrase btw) in $100 worth of games, but I've asked Stars for refunds quite frequently this past month and eventually they're gonna say no.

      The Ugly:

This stupid haircut I got @ "Hairworld" in Chiang Mai. I look like I'm 8 years old and cut it myself.

Day is only 2/3rds over, still got a gym session and a hundred hypers in my future.
