I'm comfortable with 4 tbh. I know the standard of poker at these $0.25 games is terribad but I need to study a bit more, been playing for years and have some very bad habits.

Like yourself I work fulltime. I also have a Mrs, so really looking forward to being able to get 10-12 table running on my 40" widescreen tv when shes out etc and really trying to cram some volume into 2hour windows when the mood in the house is right.

thanks, granted we're playing at the lowest of stakes with some pretty awful players and it's a small sample size. i appreciate the comment none the less

Stars is awesome for adding $0.55 45 and 90 man turbos with no rake. Hope to be grinding them exclusively soon. Solid session so far today, may try to fit another shorter one in later on.

np sir, hope it helps

it's def ++++++ev for me when playing a ton of tables of multiple structures. just having that slight offset allows me to switch gears from a 45 man to a 360 man mentality

Care to elaborate? Something to do with table stacking while masstabling I guess? Explain for the benefit of others.

Or don't, if that is your secret weapon giving you a huge edge...

EDIT: NVM, found my answer in Jdawg91's thread, duh...

Good luck with this guys. But surely if you both work full time you can pull together more than 20 bucks? You're gonna waste so much time in the nano stakes. Just my 2 cents tho hope you succeed.

could easily pull together much more than $20, but we wanted to work it up from more or less nothing

Unreal thread and definitely suscribed - having a partner in crime should keep you both more motivated so GL GL!

325 games in almost 2 weeks - IMO you need more volume to make it to 100k but great start! I'm also grinding the lower stake sngs on pstars shooting for supernova and I find 8-12 tabling is equiv to like 4tabling 6max cash.

very understood on the volume issue. i've addressed this topic in a bit more depth in my blog. the short of it is that with making the move to the turbos (which I'm doing now) I'll be able to up the volume quite a bit.

my brother is still learning to mass table, he's also been having some issues with his living/job situation so his volume is a bit less than mine (about half or so).

looking forward to a large session tonight.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Cross post from blog:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wanted to give a quick update as the end of January is quickly drawing near. I haven't put in a solid session at Pokerstars in the last 2 weeks due to a few reasons. The week following my last big session I had family come in town which left little time to put in a solid session, the following week after that I got really busy with work (which will likely continue this next week) which prevented me from getting any solid sessions in.
One thing I have been doing lately is playing HUSNGs as they are much more convenient for my semi-chaotic schedule. It's easy to get a few games in here and there between doing things around my apartment; basically makes the grind a bit more manageable instead of having to set aside larger blocks of time to multitable.
I had originally started the year with only about $3 or so in my FT account, I ran this up pretty quickly but then hit a downswing that kind of wiped it out. Well, I hit a downswing and then decided to redeposit a much larger amount if I actually bottomed out, so I moved up to the $2.15 games to reduce the rake %; naturally downswing continued and I ended up with $0.25 in the account.
I deposited $100, originally with the intent of using $50 of it on a volume prop bet but now I'm thinking that I will not do that as I don't want to set myself up for failure immediately. Instead I will use this and keep grinding the $2.15 games up to around $150 where I will move up to the $5 games.
The overall game plan will be to build my roll up on full tilt until I'm comfortably rolled for the $11 pokerstars games, at which point I will transfer part of my roll over and begin grinding the $6-$11 turbos. I have been playing a few of the $2.20s but would rather stick to the turbo format for now, and I've been running bad on PS so that motivation helps me .
As an update on the challenge with my brother, we've had some set backs as he had to move and no longer has internet access. He's anticipating a move out to Phoenix with me in a few months at which point he will resume the grind. This will make the $50K challenge quite difficult, but if I can get myself in gear with these HUSNGs we might be in decent shape for a late year push.
To end, here's a graph of my Full Tilt HUSNGs for 2011 thus far, hoping to get in way more volume this week
