Looks like all your hard work is finally paying off. Keep it up, and keep working hard at improving. You will be at 100NL by the end of the year I am sure. Good luck!

At the end of some of my sessions I can see that I become more passive. In my case it doesn't have anything to do w/ losing/winning but instead it's an "end-of-the-session feeling".

On the other hand sometimes (esp. if you were aggro earlier) your opponents begin to play back light so that you have to fold more often which makes your red line fall again.

Thanks for the support as always, it's always good to get that extra boost from other players like yourself.

glgl!
2 graphs from 2 sessions I played this week.

I also use the redline as a barometer of how I am playing. Yes variance plays a huge role. Having to b/f on later streets hurts your redline, I'll quote a PS+ instructor here and say "if you can b/f properly at the micros, its a huge weapon to have in your arsenal". If you are capable of bet/folding properly, its going to be huge to your winrate. Regardless of what it can do to your redline.

In these 2 sessions, in the first graph I played near perfect poker. Went back over the hands myself, then with my coach and there was not a single mistake bigger than 5bb.

In the second graph, almost every hand was, fold pre, fold flop, fold turn. It was me playing too many hands pre flop and then playing them badly post flop. That is a running theme whenever my RL starts to tank.

BUT, do not take that to mean you need to get a redline obsession. Dont worry about it, I have a huge aligator mouth for my lifetime graph, as do almost everyone Ive seen. Only recently have things adjusted for me when I played mid stakes and then changed my style slightly when I dropped back down. Even now I can still have 4-5 days where I just tank redline.

About time you grabbed me for a sweat!

Yeah no worries, I signed off after an hour and finished up a season of Dexter anyway. I'm good, grind is good. I went like a month without playing because I was moving into a new house and 'started again' lately at lower stakes 6max. Been fun just crushing lower limits though, I'm winning at 5ptbb without showdown heh, not sure if its optimal but its working and I'm winning at showdown too anyway.

Anyway good to see you doing well, we should have a sweat sesh sometime soon fo sho

@Drukqsxxx, i forgot thread title says 100nl, since i moved site my long term goal has kinda switched to 20nl seeing as that's where the majority of players are and of course with 50% rb, i could make good money there.

@Furkae, yeah i sometimes notice that, happens way more when i'm tired although now if i feel tired i quit immediately, generally i start to make really small mistakes (missing a sb steal/btn steal) but these all add up really quickly.

@Scooby, i like that quote from the ps pro, but i'm sure you'll agree, there's a thin line between bet/folding a lot of our hands and actually realising what the villain is doing and making a call but yeah you word it great anyway, "bet fold properly".

That second graph has the exact same red line i've had for as long as i've played up until now.

It's good to hear that a lot of players have tanking red lines though, recently my red line has started to drop quite a bit at 4nl and in other sessions it's like it is in your first graph.

@SmokeyJ, Dexter is sooooooooooo good, ahh 6max, why the switch from HU? Meh as you as you've got a good WR who cares how you win your money.

We need to set times/dates for sweats smokeyj/scooby, i'm useless at organizing anything but i'll be on skype for most of today (i think).

Played for 2.8 hours so far, ended $-5.44, 150bb below EV, a couple more hands where i was unlucky but not in the -ev sense.

Pretty standard stuff of course but still frustrating. 6 BI's under EV in the last 4.5k hands.

For sure, I've got exams till next Thursday but after that I'll be down for sweats anytime after that pretty much. Also I'm playing 6max because I started at 25nl and there's no hu there, and once I started playing 6max it was really refreshing from hu, easier to make people fold so I can just kinda cruise through a bit more. Less variance also. Will definitely change back to HU sometime soon, and also I'm thinking of taking up HU PLO.

AK hand is brutal, one of my least favourite types of bad beats haha. Keep grind on the mind.

edit: also yeah dexter is ****ing awesome. I put off watching it for ages and I'm sooo glad I started it now haha. Up to season 4

I want to get some sweats done so i'll just try to be on msn/skype more when grinding. Wow HU PLO, we have the next aspiring isildur/skjervoy ITT?

Yeah AK hand sucked, i pretty much put him on everything except AK because they limped pre.

I haven't watched any Dexter recently but when it was being aired in the UK i rarely missed it.

Ended yesterday at 1849 hands, $+0.86, 3 BI's under EV, only managed 4.3 hours as i was really tired so sleeping pattern isn't quite there yet.

April 1st - April 7th

Played for 22.4 hours (was targeting 42 so 50% there isn't terrible for a bad sleeping pattern and the first week of trying to average 6 hours/day but still lots of room for improvement.

Played 10,818 hands, Ended $-7.65, by EV I should have been up 3.5 BI's so that's not too good although having a -5 BI day due to tilt didn't help at all.

Payed $52.57 in rake so i've made $23.65 in rakeback so far.

365 points until my next $20 bonus.

Was hoping to be taking shots at 10nl by now but i'll just have to grind more/harder. BR: $180.70.

Assigning villain the range { JJ, KhQh, QJs, JTs, 98s, AKo } you have 35% equity OTT. It's close but you can (hero) call.

Did some more analysis, went back over all the changes i made, ran the filters again, i've discovered one leak/potential leak and that's when i go to SD from the sb (WTSD: 29%, W$SD: 30%).

From running the filters, i'm not winning enough from the BTN this month, last month i was winning at 70bb/100 OTB, this month its 11bb/100 although these are really small samples. I think i might be choosing bad tables/spots to open though as im actually opening the same amount from the BTN. Also my WTSD/W$SD are the same for last/this month.

I also have a lower WR when i raise pre and cbet (90bb/100), thread says it should be 250-400bb/100, however when i double barrel i have a better WR than suggested. In comparion to last month, i have a slighter higher WTSD and lower W$SD. From my graphs, it's my SD winnings that are the problem in this area. I'm also c-betting and then c/c the turn too often, i'm guessing this is out of frustration and leads onto me going to SD with a marginal hand or having to fold river.

I also asked in the uBBV thread if a 14k break even stretch at the micros is considered standard so i'm feeling much better about this month already.

Running at -5.14bb/100 and at EV i'm running at -0.43.

One hand can cause that to happen to your BTN winrate over a smallish sample. Look through those hands at the biggest losing pots. If you have 1 or 2 spots where you lose a BI then thats going to kill your win rate from that position, dont sweat it, dont adjust until you have more evidence.
