haha that was the most tilting hand of the day, flop/turn i was 99.5% certain i had the best hand, river i was 99.4% certain...

EDIT: Ended the day -2 BI after coming back from being around 3 BI's down. With RB im down 1 BI for the day, really disappointing day but i definitely didn't play my best.

Villain 31/5 over 228 hands, not very aggressive post flop, looking back i think it's a fold, stoved and gave villain all 2 pairs/sets/straights/flushes and we come out at 37%. Closer than I thought.

River: ($6.60) Q (2 players - 1 is all in)

Villain 37/22 over 300 hands, has a 45% bet OOP OTT vs missed CB (what is this?) I thought it was just when they would bet out on the turn. When I stoved it i gave him a pretty tight range at first and came out at 45% (2 pairs/straights/sets), then i added in some pair + fd type hands, oesd's + fd's which i can see villain leading out with as well and we're at 58%.

Notes on yesterdays play, biggest things are getting spewy and trying to make too many hero calls when it's a little too thin. Could have saved a lot of money in some spots. Other than that I tilted a little and slowed down with my aggression slightly, still the big issues = hero calls/spew.

lol i haz reads, obv that hand is not standard but let's try not to forget im not an idiot and don't c/c 3 streets everytime i flip a coin that lands on tails.

The only problem i have with that hand is the river, everything i knew about the player suggest calling flop and c/c turn, however there were some Kx/JQ's in his range which is why it was thinner.

It would be amazing if the river wasn't a K and I was correct, like i will be the majority of the time, what would your response be then?

My response will still be the same. You just illustrated the reason why the best way to beat uN is just plain value-betting.

If you keep having losing sessions despite all your best decisions....maybe something is amiss? Or you can just blame it on variance.

Not being a troll...I love reading this thread....but the sooner you realise ABC = NUTZ in uN and FPS = Spew...you be storming up the stakes.

did you not see the graph i posted? every leak/problem i had before has been near enough solved or at least refined so that it isn't my main concern however i now suffer from FPS/tilt more than ever.

What limits do you play btw? I think i remember you said 25nl?

EDIT: I know ABC is the way forward but knowing this and actually playing ABC without tilting/getting spewy is a problem for me.

Played for 3 hours so far today, its only 10:50am as well as i've been up all night, hopefully i'll manage to stay up all day, go to bed early tonight and wake up around 6/7am tomorrow, it's my best shot at getting 6+ hours of poker in a day.

Today = 3.2 hours, 1487 hands, $+ 3.02, EV @ $+16.55 and i got 1 outed today for the first time ever, i've seen it so many times in the unlBBV thread, was wondering when it would happen.

6 hours done for today, started at 7am so roughly 1.5 hour of breaks and 6 hours grinding.

Would be awesome if i could start everyday at around 7am and be done by the afternoon. Will probably grind more today although i'm feeling pretty tired.

Today so far: 2695 hands, $+18.39, @EV: $+39.79

need 600 more points to clear the next $20, 2/3 days i think and i should be ready for a 10nl shot then.

I'm down 2 BI's for the month so far which sucks.

Dude, this is awesome, you wanna know why? EV is kicking your ass right now but despite that, you're still winning, playing your A game and not tilting, when the variance reverses, which it will, you will be seriously, seriously crushing. In the past, you would be complaining about how you'd be winning if it weren't for the bad EV, when in reality, part of it would be bad play. You're avoiding that bad play now or at least minimizing it so you're still winning despite the EV slump. Keep it up man, just focus on good decisions making, you'll be at NL10 and beyond in no time at all!

For sure, although it's a small sample i think i have a 5.5bb(~10bb/100 with rb)/100 WR at 2nl and 11bb/100(~15.5bb/100, ~16k hands) at 4nl, rb alone adds 5bb/100 so yeah i'm doing much better than in the past.

I don't know whether anyone else does this but i try to keep an eye on my red line during a session, kind of like a measure of whether i'm still playing the same reguardless to the results. Sometimes when i'm losing i'll become more passive and focus on just trying to hit hands and bet them instead of actually playing good poker or not playing fully focused, missing easy steals/3bets which all adds up in the end. Do you think there's any 'truth' in this Dr._Hyde/anyone else?

Thanks for the support as always, it's always good to get that extra boost from other players like yourself.

glgl!
