Sup everyone!

I work a seasonal job. It's about time we get slow until Spring, and I don't plan on being there full time next year. I wanna grind grind grind. The closest casino to me is 85 miles, so in order to make it worth my while I want to be rolled for 2/5. I plan on running up some money on Bovada this winter in order to get a 2/5 roll and then I'll be hitting the casino 30-50 hours/wk as my career (in hopes of making enough to start my own organic juicing company). I'm confident I can average $40/hr+ at 2/5 live, as the games are super soft.

I depo'd $200 on Bovada, but have more behind me if I need it. I'm going to grind mtts ($11 and under for now) until I reach my goal of $8,000 (which I feel is reasonable to start the live grind). The plan is to grind mtt's 5 days a week, while studying poker (and other things I find interesting), playing guitar, going to school part time for a business degree, chillen with my woman and just enjoying life.

That would be 16 buy-ins, which is more than enough to shot take 2/5. 2/5 live play is lolable, and quite comparable to the micro mtts I'm playing atm. Plus I'll still be working part-time through all of this.

Keep it up. I have similar plans well and have a thread on here where I come up on Bovada . I also live far from casino to where it only makes sense to play 2/5. Ready to get my roll there bc I have heard the games are still soft but u can make legit money that can advance your life

I feel like I played solid for the most part. There were only a few hands causing a murmur of "whoops" to slip from my lips. I've got a lot of work to do as a poker player, but I know I can make money with this game if I dedicate my time and concentration to it. My biggest concern with my current bankroll is volume. I may just have to start with $22s and under, and throw more money on if I bust my roll. It's that or 4 tables of 25NL while I grind the few mtts I'm limited to.

We have such a disgusting culture/world. It's important to find something you love and make it your life.

Didn't get to play tonight. After work a friend came over and we drank beers and caught up for a while. It was a great time. Thought about the volume I can get in on this site, and decided I need to add $15s and $22s to my schedule or add cash. Either will suffice, but leaning toward the latter.

I dunno how you can grind mtts all day. Care for variance yo.

It's only temporary, and the fields on Bovada are pretty small, so it's not extremely bad. But I think I'm going to play cash as well from here on out.

Its always awesome to follow the journey of other Bovada grinders. I always wonder who these other people are that I'm playing with.

Just a note on the micro/low stakes cash games. There is lots of hit and running and short stacks that keep shoving until they double up or bust. Its irritating but you can navigate it when you get used to it. Good grinding!

My two cents... throw $500 into your account and start playing the 50NL. Especially if it's not going to kill you if you go busto as I know $500 is not proper for 50NL.

My graph at 50NL after 20k hands which should be no problem to get in pretty quick if you have the time.

I got 2nd in one of the first mtts I played so my roll is $500 on here, and yea, I can afford to re-up if I bust that. I think I'll do that, as the competition on here isn't the greatest, although I still like grinding the mtts on here. PM me if you wanna talk some cash game strategy/go over some hands.

Played 3 mtts, regd all 3 somewhat late, and then my gf decided it was a good time to have a serious discussion. Busted all 3 pretty fast (only $25.30 in buy ins) and then got in 1.4 hours of 50NL. Lost $13 in that time period 4 tabling. Nothing crazy or exciting. Will definitely stay in the cash grind with some mtts on the side. Bankroll at $460.

No worries. I mostly play MTTs on weekends and SNGs on weeknights. I've just been trying to work more cash in lately.

Do you ever play zone? The games are super soft and I play a little less than 300 hands per hour. The .25 .50 don't run all the time but when they do it is a profit making machine.

I haven't yet, though I've contemplated it. I probably should for the volume though...275ish hands/hr would be great! Do you mix in regular cash as well or mtts?

Played a quick 45 min sesh on my lunch break...1 table 25nl zoom, 1 table 25nl and 2 50nl tables. Made $45, almost all of which was on the zoom table. Back at the grind tonight when I get home. Today my boss and I were talking about work and next week will be the last full-time week of the year! I can't wait.

I play regular NL100 cash and then the NL50 zone when it runs. Make sure you think about the game in the format you play i.e. anonymous. Don't worry about balancing too much at zone and just play exploitative.

Yea, I have been doing exactly that. I feel like my fundamentals could use a brush-up (I would just like to make sure they're sound). Best suggestion?
