Thanks again guys!

Didn't really get around to updating this week, didn't have that much to say either.

Grinded 4 days this week, shipped a small hyper for 450$ or so, besides that some other smaller scores including a 7th place in the B7.50 which was unfortunate.
Overall a couple hundred down, hanging around the breakeven point.

Besides that I actually flew to the Netherlands last thursday. Will st
ay here until the 23rd, hopefully I'll manage to still get good volume (definitely playing big sessions on sundays).

Having played yesterday, I have to say it does kind of feel good to play the eu schedule again

Hey guys,

Not really been updating since I haven't played as much as I wanted in my time in the Netherlands.
Overall also didn't have too much to write anyway, been playing alright but no results. yesterday I had some coaching sessions and today I spent most of the day watching videos.

During that time I figured It couldn't hurt to have 2 or 3 tables open, so I did. And that lead to me ft'ing the B44 .
Just finished it in 3rd place for 2600$ so that's pretty sweet.

Flying back to Thailand tomorrow night, will probably grind again on sunday.

When I'm back in Thailand I'll probably update some more and post graphs etc.

Thanks!

Time for a bigger update. Been slacking with updating a bit so here we go:

Landed in Thailand on thursday, been coming down from a jet lag so didn't really do much the first 2 days.

Sunday

So yesterday was definitely one of the better days this year.
Started out by getting up around 7, still affected by the jetlag. Went to my new apartment at 10 in order to pay the deposit/first months, and to see the unit that I'd be living in. Everything was fine and they handed me the keys, so I went straight back to my old apartment to get some of my stuff so I could move in right away.

Here's some pics of the new apartment/building.

Really happy with it so far.

Poker

So I was quite excited and all so I didn't manage to nap in the afternoon, meaning I got me some 'energy boost' shake, and started grinding around 8pm

New setup

The first tournament I regged would end up being the last one to finish (which is always good news really), namely the 44$ Sunday Marathon. Ft'd it and after being 3/6 and getting a nasty run of hands I ended up busting in 6th place for 1966$. Besides that also a 7th place on party and a 12th place in the B27. Totalling my day about +1800$

Meaning that this month has been really good to me, my ps results have been in the 5 figures, total is around 9.6$k.

Also meant that I got to make a cashout so my liferoll has also been growing.

Life/routine

Now that I've got a decent gym in my apartment I really don't have any excuses left not to go at least 4 times per week. Got some whey protein, a workout routine and I'm about to head there for the first time.

New rule I set for myself is basically that I have to go to the gym before I start grinding, when I don't play I can take days off from the gym as well.

As for schedule not changing too much altho I'll try to get an evening/night grind in Sunday through tuesday. Then I can live the rest off the week in a 'normal schedule' which suits my social life better (getting up in the morning, going to sleep before midnight etc.).

Off to the gym & a second grind, let's keep this hotrun going.

Just getting truemove internet, I've been told it's stable enough. Aircon in the living room is great as it's in the roof and not one of those single units. The one in the bedroom is like that but at least it keeps the room cool.

Mo chit BTS is a couple minutes away by taxi/bike, condo size is just 40m2.

Okay let's do another ft

total for the day is about +1k.

it's 9am now, just had a 1.5h hu game (lost for an extra 800$) and still have to wait for the internet installer guy to come. Doing a review of the hu with a couple of guys from my stable tonight instead of playing in order to get some proper sleep.

I don't know if truemove is different than true but I have the cable/internet combo. Gone out like twice in 2+ years. I think any dedicated internet in Bangkok will be 1k better than doing that shared wifi thing.

Yea truemove is the same, internet seems fine, can finally watch movies at home lol.
With my phones backup which works really well (just limited data) I doubt I'll have any major problems anymore.

So slept all throughout the afternoon yesterday, woke up when my gf got home around 8 and reviewed my hu game from the other day with my stable. Finally got to bed at 4 just to wake up at 6 and not being able to go back to sleep. So ofcourse the only sane thing to do in this situation is to grind hehe.

Stuck to 6-8 tables and it paid off:

Once again up a solid 1000$.

So to sum up my last 4 sessions were +2600, +1800, +1000, +1000 = 6.400$, been a pretty good week honestly.

For now off to the gym as I couldn't go in the morning if I wanted a good grind, will do some bigger evening grinds tomorrow and friday evening.

tyty, I'll post some pics over the weekend, for now just some graphs.

June

So this was a pretty damn good month overall, my best online mtt month so far. After 3 months of constantly getting murdered, I have to say it feels really really good. Didn't set specific goals at the start of the month so I'll just list some positives and negatives.

Positives
- I ran really good, obviously one of the biggest factors in winning any mtt.
- I worked more, and mainly more efficiently on my game then before. I basically had a 1:1 session right before june, and another one halfway through, what this really did for me was that it gave me some points to focus on. Just having a couple leaks pointed out, writing them down and reminding myself of them throughout sessions really helped me to work on them & gives me a sense of accomplishment when it goes well.
- When I played <8 tables, I played really focused and worked on my game.
- I've started to feel really confident at ft's, whereas at first I'd be really nervous about making ICM mistakes, I feel like now I've got a better understanding of it and I'm feeling confident when I play. I'm sure I still make plenty of mistakes but I've definitely improved loads over the last couple of months, and just having a different mindset is great too.
- My evBB has significantly improved. Towards the end of May my evbb was hanging around 5, now it's at 7. It would've been higher than that as well had I not gotten cocky after my first bink (more on that later), over the last week it's been at 10. Graphs:

Overall:

Last week (Lol I ran so bad ):

- As I've said before, my biggest month yet:

Negatives/Point of improvement

- After my initial 44BB bink, I got a little too over-confident. What I mean to say is that I started playing way more tables (I'd be 12-tabling at times), and focused less on improving. Not surprisingly I dropped a decent amount in a short amount of time and my Evbb had a downswing/breakeven stretch as well as you can see in the graph. The next coaching session then served as a reminder to me that I should stick to 8-tabling, keep improving my game and enjoy thinking through spots etc. All of which I've been doing this week and it seems to be paying off (yes small sample & variance ofcourse, but objectively speaking it's undeniable that this works better for me).

- Too many half-assed sessions, basically decided that I either want to do a full-on grind, or not play at all. I'd rather do 4 solid sessions in a week than 5/6 sessions where I stop regging after a couple of hours because I don't want to play anymore/have other things to do. Tldr: Prepare for sessions so that I can play long ones.

- Wasted too much free time. So I like having freetime and I feel like it's important for poker, but I should spend more if it doing useful stuff like going to the gym/reading books or fun stuff like spending time with friends/gf. Instead of just doing nothing and browsing forums/yt etc.

July

So lot of bla-bla but I think it's good for me to have a reflection every now and again. For next month I want to setup some goals.

Poker

- 8 or less tables at all times, no exceptions/excuses.
- evBB of 8+.
- Always have points to focus on next to me when playing.
- Get to move up to 50's/55's.
- Long decent sessions.
- Keep running hot

Non-poker

- Go to the gym 4 times/week minimum, before I start playing whenever possible (its just open 7-10).
- Read 2 books/week
- Utilise free time more, no laziness.

So that's about it for now, will update again when I ship my next mtt

Solid month, solid post. But what kind of book are you planning to read to be able to read 2 books a weeks? My usual book are around 900 to 1800 pages, I'm not sure how I'd be able to read 2 of them a weeks.

Probably smaller book around 250 pages could be possible fit with all your other goal, but yet you are limiting yourself to small book to respect your goal. I think you should put a number of pages goal instead of number of books.
