Soo I just had my 3rd winning day in a row. Woke up at 7 feeling just absolutely shattered, no way I could get out of my bed so I turned around and ended up sleeping 11 hours total, guess I needed it lol.
Played 6 sessions this week & did a decent amount of studying besides that, definitely one of the most productive weeks of the year.

Skipped the morning schedule and started around 3 in the afternoon, had a couple decent runs:

2nd 5r Ipoker (266e) Hud didn't work again, frustrating but I'm 2 for 2 in ft's in mtts without a hud this week. Think I'm on to a secret strategy
4th 5.1$ Hyper (295e) Just busted it a minute ago so a bit tilted, AK < K9 for 70% of the chips.
10th 8.8T
10th 12r 888.
16th 33$ FO

Day 43 (18/03)

Total winnings: + $108

BB/100 once again at a solid 6.
Winrate over the whole week is 6bb/100 but the first 8k hands it was be, last 12k hands it was around 10, definitely played (and ran) better these last 3 days.

Overall really happy with this week, played 204 games which Is just solid volume for me, basically the absolute limit of games I want to play per week, wouldn't mind playing a bit less in exchange for more focus.
Also it was my first winning week since I joined the stable, up 523$ overall this week, so we're going the right way.

For now I'm happy to finally have some time off, will try not to think about poker tomorrow, maybe do some studying on sunday, if not I'll be back at poker Monday morning for my sunday grind.

Man that was a sunday to forget real fast.

Played 30 mtt's which is fine since I started at 01:30 and regged until 5, almost solely reg-speeds/deep stacks so not a lot of room for more volume.
Played decent but nothing impressive altho it's hard to really look at your game objectively when you just run into better hands whenever you play a hand.
All together I had 1 mincash on Ipoker and 1 deeprun in a 27 hyper (AA<88).

Played a second session today where I felt like I played really well, bb/100 went straight down however. Seemed to once again just be a string of brutal hands, but I'll do some reviewing later today.

So total for these last 2 day is 50'ish games, lost about 900$ total.

Next 4 days will be day-sessions with probably fewer tables (6-8) until my bb/100 goes north again,

Sucks, u really need to find bread and butter games imo. Stick the most to tournaments u win the most in and take shots at others now and then. Mayb ur avg bi shouldnt be higher then 22 or somethin. I mean how long do u even play poker? I feel, and thats just what it is, a feeling, u miss some solid foundations. There are so many tough mtrfckers on the higher stakes who can get in ur head just like that and u might not even know it. Or u might know it but u may simply lack foundations to counter it. I mean i never play them but thats what i presume.

I get where you're coming from, however just to clear up some confusion:

My backer/coach has the final say in which games I'm allowed to play. Currently I can play anything up to 33's and 11r's, in these games the amount of regulars that will actively look for & exploit my leaks is close to 0.

I definitely have some big leaks (to answer your question, Ive been winning for 2 years, 2015 was the first year I made enough to make a living from it), and im working on them. Pretty sure I beat the games im currently playing since they're lolsoft, and Ill move up when my coach and I can agree on me beating higher stakes. Not beating the games is not a concern of mine.

Yea were the lowest mtt group and 3k just isn't that much relatively speaking. For me now it's a pretty big swing but for horses who play higher stakes its less than a bad sunday costs them.

It's a long-term deal and I think any mtt-backer understands that variance is big. 1 month, <1k games and 150bi's down just isnt that much, even tho it feels like it sometimes.

Had two sessions today with a 1 hour break in between. First one went a bit average, played ok but far from the best of my ability. Made 1 ft of a 20fo on Ipoker but busted 7th.

Afternoon session I feel like I played really well, got to the ft of a 33fo, ended up 5th. After that I got absolutely murdered, played <7 tables at all times but the doomswitch went on and my bb/100 just took a nosedive.

In total I'm down 350ish today, unless I feel better tomorrow I'm taking the day off (if not 2 days) since I'm definitely not in a good state of mind right now.

Thanks guys, appreciate it!

View isn't really interesting, as I'm in the outskirts it's a really quiet area with not much going for it:

Probably not what you'd expect when you think of Bangkok
Will try to take some pics of life around here/markets/food etc. if people want to see that, like I said before not gonna bother with touristy stuff since most have seen it all before.

So after going on monkey tilt a bit yesterday after some brutal sessions, I wanted to take some days off. However after resetting with a night sleep I decided that even tho I won't play poker today, I'll spend the whole day reviewing marked hands, deep runs & some of the stables video's.

2 Weeks from now I'll be going on a visa run to Laos. Since my gf has 2 weeks off for Songkran then, I'll make a little holiday of it. When we come back Songkran (thai new year btw) will still be going on so we'll spend the rest of it in Khon Kaen.
This Means it'll be a little break from poker, maybe even longer than I'd like, but I'm not going to miss out on what's supposed to be the most fun 2 weeks of the year around here.
However this does mean that I can't really afford to take any days off right now, I might even add some extra days in the weekends.

Will also view today as a good exercise. I tend to procrastinate a lot when it comes to studying and my focus isn't always the best. Way too often I end up watching series, scrolling through facebook or dicking around in useless discussions on Dutch forums instead of just doing something that'll help my game tremendously.
Goal for the day will be 7 hours total of studying with some breaks in between. Studying means just studying and nothing else, we'll see how it goes

So I'm about to wrap up my session. Reviewed over 100 hands today (most marked hands were push/fold spots), but not that happy with it. Got distracted too easily so this is definitely something to work on. However there was an external factor that has really been bugging me today.

So when I sat down at my laptop this morning after a couple minutes I saw an ant on my keyboard, wiped it off big deal right? So I go to 7/11 to get me some breakfast, and when I come back there are like 10 ants crawling over my laptop.
So I'm baffled at that point, and disgusted since I really don't like bugs, and take a closer look. Then it seemed like they were crawling into and coming out of my laptop?! I swear I thought I was having a sunstroke at this point.
Wiped them off again and surely every couple minutes one of those f*ckers crawls out of under the keys/other holes. Had a bunch of ants on the balcony a week back or so, killed them all with 7/11 spray, yesterday I found a bunch inside the desk my monitor stands on, and I left my laptop on there over night, so they must have gotten in.
Spent a bunch of my time googling about this and apparently I'm not the only one this is happening to, advice was to take out the spacebar/enter key and see if they had like a nest under there, ended up breaking both keys. Fml.

So now I potentially have an ants nest in my laptop, and I f*cking hate ants. Will ask my gf to go to an electronics store today/tomorrow to have the keys fixed and the laptop cleaned. I'm not going to be able to focus on poker when there's ants coming out of underneath the keys all the time.

Will probably play on my backup laptop tomorrow, I'll see how it holds up when I try to run 5 sites, but I'm at least glad that I have one now.

Lol, that ant story is disgusting..slightly cringe worthy. Hopefully you got it sorted! If you're having trouble with ants you can just divert them somewhere else by putting sugar or other things down in another area and eventually they will navigate to it. As well, loud music and large vibrations often deter them too.

Yeah anything of the Thai life, even pictures of 7/11 would be cool. Just to get that feel of how it works. Have you started working out or doing some form of exercise as well during your off time? it will definitely help with the fatigue feeling and getting tired during sessions. As well its good to have a good balanced diet whilst playing. Not saying turn into a rabbit and eat salads only. But having fruit and nuts available in arms reach just so you can keep the energy levels up and the hunger levels down.

ENjoying this much so. Good luck!

One flip away from being make-up free

Lost AT < 88 Small vs big for a decent chiplead, only left with 4bb which I lost svb the next round.

Bit of a disappointment after being 2/4 in chips for a while, but still a nice +1k day at least.
Only played 15 mtt's since I didn't add any tables when I realised I was 2/40 in a tourney with my MU on top, not great volume but still my biggest winning day since I joined.
Might add another session later today, only if I feel good tho.

Will answer the questions and follow up on the ants later today, I need some fresh air and want to hit the gym first.

Hahah, I guess that also makes for lower variance and higher winrates tho + I enjoy deep structures. FT taking 2hrs to go from 9-6 is pretty damn boring tho.
So first of all those damn ants.

Found sites on the internet that gave a useful do yourself tip:
Basically put your laptop on a stand surrounded by water, then connect a single stick to the laptop that will work as some sort of bridge. they'll notice they're on a platform surrounded with water and therefore gtfo there via the bridge.

So I made this setup right before my gf got here from work, once she saw it she asked what it was , once I explained it I realised how ******ed it must sound lol. Anyways, she asked me to show her the ants, which then obviously didn't show themselves.
Anyways, this morning when I woke up I ran to my laptop like a kid running to the tree on Christmas morning, found 3 dead ants in the water, gg.
So my gf spent the whole morning laughing at me since she must've thought I was going mental, trying to convince here that there's hundreds of ants in my laptop.

So she leaves for work, I fire up some tables and I sh*t you not within 5 minutes like 20 of those f*ckers come running out of the side of my laptop, as if they were trying to **** with me.
Anyways I sent them all straight to hell and didn't see a single ant for the rest of the day, I guess they wanted to get off but didn't want to use the chopstick-bridge for some reason.

So, my gf just got home and I have a drawer full of candy and sweets... You can guess where this is going.
She opens the drawer, grabs a bag of seaweed and screams it out. I look at her and ask what's wrong, she then holds the bag of seaweed to my face, filled with ants who had by now devoured half of it.
You can imagine my reaction..
http://gph.is/16eNqg6

Killed all the ants & threw away all the sweets, should solve the problem for now.

So much for the ant stories, don't want to turn this thread into '19yo kid battling ants in Thailand'

First of all thanks!
I do workout yea but not well enough or enough in general, find it really hard when poker is bad. I eat pretty good tho (let's ignore the drawer of sweets, I can have some more snacks than most players since I'm a chopstick). I'll upload some general pics & pics of food I get from markets etc. later tonight or tomorrow.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Malta. The whole island has a relaxing atmosphere & in terms of European countries to live for poker it's pretty much the nuts if you ask me.
However, yea it's really small and I want to see more of the world right now. Also living expenses are much lower here which is a great +, on Malta a night out generally cost me anywhere between 50 on a cheap night and 300/400 on a degen night, which was fun for a while but isn't sustainable for someone with my current results. Besides that it's way too easy to go out/play live too often when everything's on walking distance, so I'm really happy to be in a place where I can just focus on grinding but still have a great time.
Lastly I f*cking love asia, Thailand is ideal for me for many reasons but japan & korea definitely made me fall in love with Asia when I was there. Maybe something for the future when my results are better.

Oh yea, poker

Had a second, once again really small, session.
Just finished 1-tabling the 33BB for 2 hours, busted like 30ish or something so no two-timer today. Besides that a 10th place in a small 27tko on 888 and a 28th place in a 11$ 6mT after being 1/35 & losing 99<A5 for a PFAI 50bb pot. Lost 50'ish total this session.
Winrate is ok'ish, dropped quite a bit after some coolers in the end, still on 5 for the day so that's alright.

Everything combined quite a good day, up nearly 1k$ & played well.
Will stop giving daily results since it's tiring with pt4 f*cking up all the time + it's really not that interesting. Instead I'll post weekly graphs but I'll continue updating on a near daily basis when I have stuff to share.

For tomorrow there's another morning-grind on the schedule, based on those results I'll decide whether to play my second in the afternoon/evening.

Winning Week

So yesterday was pretty sick, played ~13 hours & got in 4k+ hands over 37 games. My total bb/100 was 26bb/100 which is just pretty solid . Made a lot of hands, bluffs worked & just played well overall.

Clearly this also meant I build up many big stacks and got some deep runs:

5$r 888 - 18th
22$ fo Party - 14th
12$r 888 - 12th (AK vs 88 AI on 67TK, river 9 for top 3 stack. Can't say that didn't have me tilted a little.)

27$ 4-max PSKO - Love 4-max games soo much, also my results in them have been really sweet. Bubbled the ft (6th) for 300$ish

22$ Deep PS - played until 4am, 4th place for ~400$, lost an expensive QQ<A9o PFAI.

So overall roughly 400$ up for the day, still running bad in the really big equity pots around the FT, but at least I'm getting plenty of deep runs.

As you can see in the graph below everything seems to be going the right way, ev/bb100 is at 6.4 over the 65k hands this month, which pretty solid

Taking today off and grinding tomorrow evening, will reg from about 6-8 until 2am.

Lastly, I found out the other day that Thailand doesn't have a 'winter/summertime', so the current PS changes will stay like this until October.
For my sundays this is sweet since I can play a regular evening sessions. However during the week I feel like there's more value in playing the night-schedule compared to the eu day-schedule, which means I'll have to start between 5-6AM, like I did the whole first month really.

As promised, some pictures below

So yea ever since the inception of this thread I've been getting bulldozed with questions about prices etc in thailand, posted a lot of those before but here's some pictures/prices of some recent market-meals.

Been eating a lot of fish recently since I got tired of eaten chicken so much for months on end, first one is 55baht (1.40$), second one is a lot bigger than it looks, 100 baht (2.50$)

Shrimp full box is 40 baht (1$)

Coconut, how have I never eaten this before I came here lol. 20baht (0.50$)

Not something I expected to find on a thai market, but churros are always welcome

And lastly, apparently I look something like this

Will try to make some more/better pics of things around here, not really used to taking pics tho so its a learning curve on its own

Thank you for posting the pictures it really is awesome seeing them! I guess it is easier to eat a lot of fish when in Thailand, how about fresh fruit? that coconut looks cool haha.

I was curious, considering I still don;t understand all the terminology.

What does it mean when you say 26bb/100? and what is good about keeping it 26? thank you

Fresh fruit is amazing here, they have plenty either cut or uncut. Bag of cut watermelon/ananas/strawberry/melon is <1$ on the market/street. Cba to buy uncut food unless its apples/bananas really.

Bb/100 is de amount of big blinda you win every 100 hands. In the long run 5+ is solid from what ive heard, 26 is unsustainable but still a nice confidence boost.
