Even though the buyins I am playing are incredibly low, I feel this will be a very good bankroll builder so I can get back on my feet. I'm just doing this challenge so I can have a comfortable bankroll again. I could easily get a stake, but perhaps my own arrogance tells me to do it on my own. I am undecided whether I will use my roll at the end of challenge for 25/50NL or MTTSNGs.

Goal: $1500 profit within 3 1/2 weeks at the 25c 45/90man sngs
Start: Feb 1
End: Feb 25
Stars SN: Cyal8rloser

I can 24 table but I still struggle with misclicks pretty frequently. Regardless, I am trying to work my way up to 32 tabling, at least. It is difficult doing this all on a laptop, although my screen is larger than most. Going to update thread regularly.

Why I'm doing this stupid challenge:
Not too long ago I was playing on Bodog. After they had introduced anon tables I switched from DONs to cash and made an average of $200/day playing 50/100NL. Like a young and dumb idiot I spent it all on stupid sh*t and it all came to an end after the new year. I'm guessing due to the Stars rake changes some regs came over because the games weren't nearly as soft as before. Due to me spending most of the money I blew my roll pretty quickly and now I'm just trying to rebuild.

I will not disclose SNs but I have ran $10/$15/$25 deposits into 300-500+ in the course of 1-2 weeks so I know what I'm doing.

Good luck, looks like a nice challenge.

Out of interest; how many tables/tournaments are you playing at the same time and do you stagger the start so you have a mix of tables at early and late stages.

20-25. Trying to get up to 32 for the challenge. All stacked in the center of screen, with 4 most important FTs placed in the 4 corners. I don't really pay attention to that. I just try to get the most tables I can running asap when I start.

If you do this, it'll be so sick. Are you planning on playing exclusively 25c/45m? If so, I think this will be very hard. Best of luck though dude, I'm also regrinding my roll at the microSNG.

Having SNGs down for a whole day was a huge setback. Lot of catching up to do. When I finally got to play again I attempted to 40 table to make up for it, but struggled with lag and misclicks frequently. On top of this my power went out for a good 8 minutes during my 40 tabling session. ROI is looking pretty ugly atm:

            Hand 1: JJ
Looks like a fold, you can call with QQ+. Try to avoid all in vs bigstack if you are even with 3 more players. And there are already 2 all-eins.

            Hand 2: A9s
Doesnt look like you have any folding equity, and you are not really getting good enough odds. I think it's a fold.

            Hand 3: AA
1 guy overbets 2x potsize and other guy reraises.. overpair is probably not good and theres alot of 2pair combos from the broadways that people coldcall preflop with.

            Hand 4:88
Easiest hand you posted, I'd play it same.

            Hand 5: 44
Headsup it really depends on table dynamics.. if he is shoving every hand you can call, if he was not than you could fold.. id snap with 88+ proobably in any situation.

            GL with your challange!

Gl on your journey. I am sorry to ask but im pretty green so excuse me if its pretty common knowledge. Why dont you focus on playing mtt's? Personally i find the sng's are harder fields then mtts.

I managed to rack up just under 500 in profits in december just by playing mtt's nearly exclusively on heropoker with reduced GTD's. Purely micro stakes mind you. Because my goal was to start from 0$ deposit it was slow the first two weeks but after i shipped a freeroll and ran deep in some 25c and 50 cent mtts i had my conservative 200buyins to move up to 1$ games.

I would have done better im sure but i didnt start until the 14th. January was even better and ive recently started 8 tabling cash while branching out into Sng's but i fear ill always be a mtt player at heart. Simply because i love the big ships.

Also do you have any tips for newby cash players? I notice you use poker tracker but ive been told hm2 was the better product especially for the sng features like table finder.

Thanks for putting up such a lofty challenge. Ill be sure to applaud you on your success when you achieve it.

            Rungood till then

            thanks in advance.

Just looking over the hands you displayed i would suggest playing a more TAG game. The hand where you have AA it seems like your the only one hesitant to go allin. You need to force them into more mistakes. Allowing them to see a flop so cheap in "donkey stakes" just allows for craziness. Id point out how you in a different hand call an allin with 44 and face A rag. Nothing wrong with that and its unfort u didnt hold but by calling allins with 44 but allowing them to come into flops cheaply when u hold AA you are inviting trouble imho.

Also that was such a wet board on the 88 hand that you need to protect even at the risk of losing action.

Obviously these are just my thoughts and since i dont know all the mitigating factors leading up to the hand ill trust you did what you felt was best at the time. As someone who specializes in such stakes its never good to be too crafty in micros because most moves are over your opponents heads.
