I swear when it rains it f****** pours. Down about $55 for the day because I'm playing like crap and calling behind every bloody time.

So I make a standard bet with KQs and get 3b from 14/14 nit in blinds and call this time knowing I can stack this guy if I make a hand.

Flop the OESD and he only bets half pot giving me great odds to call. Hit gin on the turn and get the result I knew I would.............

Think I've dropped about $100 in the past 3 days and it is almost exclusively down to how I'm playing. Calling 3bets too wide, shoving too light, calling down all the way knowing I'm beat. Just dumb stuff because I'm not thinking straight and it feels like forever since I won a decent pot.

Need some decent rest I think so might do the BR a favour and take a break for a few days after tonight.

You don't think flushes and gutters are a decent portion of his range?

Ofc your hand is too strong to fold ever, but I think you could probably get more value OTF rather than clicking it back.

I think a flush draw is part of his range practically never here. Was almost solely Ax. This passive fish opponent is calling with his draw and never turning it into a semi bluff. When he has a flush draw he wants to see if he can get it as cheap as possible. He isn't looking to inflate the pot without a strong to made hand.

By the turn a gutshot possibly got there but his odds are so far against hitting it that I don't mind clicking it back and perhaps even induce a spaz shove from his stronger Ax (AK-AT).

      Hey guys and gals,

Been quiet lately on the posting front. Work and home life have been hectic so I have played less this month. Even when I have played, I still haven't had the energy to bother posting any HHs, graphs or whatever.

Will hopefully get something up to summarise August results in a few days. Things haven't been going too badly when I have been playing though.

Want to share a rant? Lol. I hit 4 sets tonight. Won 3 for a total of about $4 and got stacked with the other. Add that to running TPTK into someone else's set and you just have to shake your head.

Will not comment that things are going well again.

Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. It is obvious it has become nothing more than a vehicle for me to vent rather than a productive tool to help me progress so I see no point continuing with it.

The BR is still in a healthy enough place despite taking some hard hits recently so I will continue to play. However, I need to re-assess my goals and what I want to achieve. I can say with some satisfaction that chat box ranting and general tilt play have improved enormously (not to say mastered, but improved). I certainly have to improve in those areas still and definitely still have an issue with BR management and taking risky shots too soon.

At some stage I will consider another thread when I think I can make better use of it. For now I will continue to keep playing and hopefully improving on areas of weakness and will follow the progress of the rest of you with interest.
