hey, i figured i'd try one of these!

my name is jerome, i'm a 23 years old from canada. i dropped out of college in 2011 for poker, was awful at it and barely made anything (yep, not the most calculated dropout). went back in 2012, finished college while starting to beat 10nl and 25nl. went from 10nl to 200nl shots in 2013. went back to 100nl in 2014 (didnt like the skill gap between 100 and 200), i dropped out of uni that year as well. i made about 85k in 2013 and 2014, played sick volume + okay winrates. last year also went well, played some 200nl.

i was living in a grind house 2014-2015, but it became more of a distraction house. i'm now living in an apartment with my girlfriend, it's very nice and i'm looking forward for a big 2016. with stars change to rakeback, i decided to try other sites. the plan for now is to grind 200k vpps on stars, playing 200nl+, and other poker sites the days i'm not playing stars. this means 2000 vpps days, 10 days/month. maybe more if my main stakes becomes higher than 200nl. january is going okay, made some money on another site, breaking even at another one. had to play some 100nl on stars because my roll is split all over the place (i have money invested i can't touch). if you know my screen names, don't out me plz.

i like tv shows, video games, hanging out with friends, working out and sports. and my girlfriend we have a great long term relationship. i'm watching narcos and HTGAWM at the moment, two great shows. in 2015 ive mainly play HS, rocket league and pillars of eternity, >awesome< games. from now on i shouldn't be gaming much, i have a strict schedule that includes poker, studying poker, gym, cardio, reading, snowboard, soccer and occasionally watching tv shows. altho that wont be true for a while, because i have like 10 friends with rocket league so it is too much fun to stop.. also it's the best game ever. btw english is not my first language so sorry for awful phrasing sometimes.

here is my graph for 2015 and my setup. i was travelling through south and central america for the last quarter of the year, and this graph is missing almost all of october, which sucks because it was a huge month. it also misses bunch of hands from laptop. i have pretty nice winrates from march to december.

i won't post graphs regularly because i don't watch results regularly, but i will sometimes. i will also post hands. today was very fun, i played between 10 and 18 tables all session long, 1 or 2 table was 200z. rest was 200nl reg tables FR or 6max.. couple of HU or 3 handed tables. i dont refuse action HU or 3 handed much and i play reg line-ups.. it's good practice. i reached 2000 vpps very quick so i will probably diminished the number of tables in the future. don't out me btw.

hey thanks for the kind words. i'm not currently coaching but as i said in op, i might be interested. i used to be a rakeback player in 2012/2013, 24 tabling or 8 tabling zoom... playing a lot of tables with focus is a skill you can develop (by practicing it). it's an important skill to have if you multi site because you have all sorts of problems with the ****ty skins (moving tables, dealing with bugs and that kind of stuff are part of the multitasking if you dont play on stars). matthew janda and jared tandler books are okay. other than that, the good stuff is on the computer i think!

i started playing party poker and bodog today. nothing much was going on, not winning when you play elsewhere than stars is the worst. you have this annoying entitlement tilt because you'r surrounded by weak regs, no real rakeback to fall back on if you lose, often a low hands/hour count so you think you'll stay in a hole etc. there is an okay amount of fishes on party, some of them are pretty crazy.. but i cant seem to win much over there. im thinking about moving my money to another pokersite after i reach the 500$ bonus, shouldnt be long. im also thinking about playing 100% on stars because zoom and reg tables are both still juicy. but we'r still in january so let's see what develop from now to april. anyway i played 100z for the second half of my session, stars have such a great software haha. some hands:

I'm an MTT player and i'm trying to get into cash as well. Quick question - does bluffing have a lot more frequently / it's more profitable in cash games. I was reading some books and cash game play and the equity makes it look like bluffing should be more of a reg thing..?

Get your hands on Applications of No Limit HoldEM.

You will be amazed at how many bluffs we can have to balance our value range. Esp on flop, a little less on the turn, and alot less on the river.

But after reading it like 3 times. I was blown away with how unbalanced i was, and in return other regs.

yes bluffing is important haha psychedelic is right, AoNLH is a good read.

i watched my results from yesterday, pretty horrible. lost like 3 bi in short period playing bodog, 1 playing party. i was up almost 5k on bodog at one point this month (with volume pretty low), i'm now up 2k over there. started the month down 7 bi on stars, playing 200z. but things are going good on stars now and obvsly i like playing there more.. just the biggest pain trying other skins if you don't win. i'll wait and see before moving money around tho, we still don't know how stars games are gonna evolved. last few pokerstars sessions, mixing 100 and 200:

i played 200nl so far this week, as planned. 9-13 tabling, always one or two table of 200z and one or two table of HU/3h action. idk why people dont start tables at 100nl and 200nl, regs are clueless HU (including me) and fishes join the table pretty quickly. dealing with scripts and **** is huge pain of the ass.. speaking of, poker wasnt going so great yesterday so i played 4 tables of 200z second half of my session, its just so comfy over there.

i always play approx from noon to 6pm ET, but i'm gonna try to move my schedule around to play from 5pm to 11pm, 2 nights a week or something. games are at least a bit better then i think. i keep making awful calls thinking 200nl regs bluff more than 100nl.. they'r better but the latter isnt true in a lot of spots . gonna post some of those calls:

think KQ hand is the only standard call here, when you don't block any spades he is betting, and you are calling twice with tons of 66-TT.
I'm always confused with the A7s type hands post, not sure what should be the optimal strategy, unless villain are show down oriented, just seem to get own a lot.

rakeback is fixed at $5460 for every 100k vpps after 200k vpps if I remember the numbers right.
