Hi I'm kinda new here but have been lurking for ages. I thought I would start a PC+G thread a lot for my own motivation and also to hopefully meet some fellow grinders and get my name out in the comunity. Basically I am going to Brazil at the end of the year for a holiday I estimate the trip is going to cost around $10k so I would ideally want to pay for it all from poker so that will be my "goal" in this thread.

However if I fail this goal I have enough savings to go anyway even if I make $0 this year from poker, the trip is 100% booked. A little about me Im 18 and I play 10nl zoom at the moment transitioning into 25nl on stars, I have always struggled with volume as I'm in my first year at uni studying a bachelor of commerce double majoring in economics and finance, but holidays just started now for 3 weeks so thought it would be a good time to start this thread.

Here is my plan for this year and onwards:
-Save as much as possible for Brazil ($5k+ in the next 10 months I would be pretty happy)
-Finish/pass first year of uni
-Go to Brazil
-After 3 weeks in Brazil partying and holidaying (expect a sick trip report itt) move to Argentina or Mexico and get an apartment there and play full time for a year.
-Start the real grind now and make $40k in 2016 and supernova and play 2 million hands
-Come back home and pick up uni where I left off.
-90kg at 6% body fat before I leave

My interests fwiw
-Poker obv
-Football (Liverpool)
-Gym
-Game theory (not meaning game theory in poker but that too )
-Traveling
-Food (mostly eating it but enjoy cooking too occasionally)
-Finance

So for now Dont expect too much from this thread other than another busto micro grinder posting occasional hands, updating and general discussion etc. But Im expecting that once I move up and move abroad this thread will get more entertaining over time. For now I understand there wont be many subbing here but as I said a lot of this is for my own motivation and I do think this thread will become more and more entertaining over time, also soon I might be keen on a prop bet.

I hope to be a 50nl reg by the end of the year starting to take shots at 100nl by the time I move into an apartment and play full time. For me 100nl is basically end game, I would be happy just grinding 100nl and some softer 200nl games for 1 or 2 bb/100 plus rakeback, relativly stress free. Especially would be tough to move any higher while im at university.

I really want to work a lot on my game and move up asap so if anyone wants to add me on skype I'm swonyday_1. Starting BR=$400 moving to 25z at $500 and dropping back down if my BR is ever =<$400

Thread savers: -not sure if you can post tits in these but ill play it safe, Also I think Im in love with the asain chick lol

Has anyone ever downswinged 450bb in less than 4k hands at micros? Would be a good time for me to hear some others experiences at the micros. Anyway its 7am now im ****ing tired but gonna go through every single pot 20bbs or greater to make sure I couldnt of done anything different.

Might be time for me to read that mental game of poker tbh, I dont actually tilt at the tables or anything when im downswinging or upswinging I play the same imho but it more effects me in normal life like for example I'll be out for lunch tomorow or something and I wont be able to enjoy it Ill just be thinking non stop about poker, doubting myself, running through hands in my head, feeling bad in general. (opposite when im running well).

Thanks man, planning on doing Floripa, Rio, and Brasilia one week in each. Although lately been thinking about ditching Brasilia and stay 2 weeks in Rio. But I have ages to figure out specifics

After staying up for 24 hours yesterday I got 4 hours of sleep, got up, spent two hours reviewing my session from the night before. Loaded up my zoom tables and literally first hand in was rewadrded with this :/

            I have AJs in CO, BTN 3bets, I call, Flop AJ3r x/c, turn T x/c, river 6 x/c all in.
            He obviously had KQ

Thought my hand was pretty much the nuts, he might not be 3betting KQ pre and if he is I didnt think this was a flop he would be cbetting too often, same with TT. Sorry for not converting, my hem2 is playing up at them moment. Dowswing total now 550bbs so great start to the thread haha.

Oh and also I knocked over my pee bottle getting out of bed this morning and the lid must not have been on right and it spilt over my uni assignment (can just print another one) but it was disgusting so as you can see im running great on and off the tables haha.

Heres a photo of my current set up to give the thread some life, (photos of me on their way too)

Its a good set up for me im just running the two monitors through this usb converter thing, and then my laptop screen acts as a third. The monitors are pretty average think they are like 20" but they get the job done, I usually have 4 tables of zoom on the bottom then just leave pandora open in the top. It works good for me because I can just unplug the laptop when I leave in the morning for uni so I can take it with me. I live in an average house here with two other guys (non poker players) both 18 and 19 we pay $500/week (yes a week) between us so 500/3 each to live in a very average/modest house.

The high cost of living here sucks when I could be paying the same in Thailand or Argentina or something and be semi balling. So really looking forward to the move this year! Petrol and food is a big chunk of my expenses here it costs me roughly around $500 a week to live, so $2k a month.

But its cool here because the government literally gives you free money for going to uni, I'm banking $200/week for free which I dont have to pay back which is cool plus I have $11k in my life roll at the moment so I dip into that each month depending on how short I am on expenses that week.
I want to get better at poker to the point where I dont have to dip into my savings to cover my expenses at all and maytbe even save some on top before I leave.

Isn't 6% body fat below the limit? If I remember correctly, 10% body fat was the line under below it becomes unhealthy for the human body. For male. Female ~20%.

GL with that zoom, don't let it tilt the **** out of you!

I think you're right if you are talking about year round, staying at 6% year round would obviously be pretty dangerous not to mention feeling tired and weak all the time. But I just want to be in good shape for 3 weeks in Brazil and I kinda just picked a number out of the air after seeing pics of some other guys at that level tbh. Maybe changing that goal to be "in good shape" by Brazil but not set any numbers goals in terms of weight etc might be better. Fwiw im 85kg at 12%ish atm if anyones interested.

But thanks, as I say most of my tilt happens off the tables imo, played a quick session last night and ran at 12bb/100 for 3100 hands so was happy with that and actaully have been feeling pretty confident in my game lately which is weird.

Bought the mental game of poker off a guy. shipped the moeny on stars out of ease, so at this point -$35 from my roll. Gonna put in some extra volume these next couple of days to make up for that because I really want to take some shots at 25z by the end of the week.

Good thread dude. We play in the same games, what's your an on stars? Also taking shots at 25z soon too I've run 800b below ev over 4k hands so those size downswings are super standard especially for zoom. Also, you may want to consider not stacking off with AK without very good reds, I just think it's a super high variance play at 10z. Stacking off with AK becomes awesome when villains are jamming a5s over 4bets - and not many will do that at 10z AK is actually the in last place against all the hands that most players will stack off 100bb with - QQ+ AK. Maybe try just gii with the suited variants and see how that feels/works.

                  Gl gl!

Yeah have heard that about zoom and how it hurts you win rate compared to reg tables, I just love the volume though and the games seems really soft imo And thanks for the tips I definatly have to keep working on my game. Ill pm you my sn on stars . Thanks for the sub!

just got back from dinner with my room mates and one of there girl friends (2am now) went to dennys as its one of the few and probably the best resturant open 24/7 in my city. We played credit card roulette for the bill but my whipped room mate insisted his gf was not in. I tried to explain how the whole point of credit card roulette is that it is neutral EV (assuming we all eat the same mount of food roughly) and we just do it for the fun/sweat. And it becomes -EV if we just free roll his busto gf. whatever though she didnt eat much tbh and of course I ended up loosing. I'm on a sick cc roulette downswing I think I've prolly paid for 6-7 of the last ten meals, this one was a smaller one though bill came to $170nzd. heres a pic of the food.

                  10/10. Braver than me.

Don't know how anyone can stay up for 48 hours. Max I can do is 18 hours.

haha well I do 24s on a semi regular basis (maybe more than is healthy) so I like to think I'm well trained . To be honest after the 30ish hour mark it got easy and was actaully at the point when I went to go to sleep it took some time, where as I thought I would knock off straight away.

Anyway I'm gonna do some flopzilla and hem2 work now. Didnt get to play much today which I dont feel great about as I hung out with this girl I've had my eye on for a while. (couldn't close if you were wondering). And I feel too tired to actually play atm so it's a good time for some off the table stuff I think.
