I guess #3 should be crush.
32, poker player, not much else to say. I live in the US, and have played poker in some form or another since I was a kid. My Dad taught me stud when I was maybe 7 or 8. I didn’t really get what was going on, but I had a lot of fun playing for pieces of candy. I got pretty good at that game, but nobody else in a card room seems to know how to play. Oh well, the action is in the community Omaha and Hold’em variants anyway.
Like a lot of people, after Moneymaker won the WSOP, my fascination with NLHE spiked. I won a lot through most of college, then as I got to know more about the game, my results began to tank. I went from playing for part of my living to struggling to beat $1/$2 NLHE games and the micros online.
And that’s why I want to join CFP. I know I’m reasonably smart (not to brag), and that I had a style that worked before I became a poker wonk. So, I’m starting over, and looking to beat the micros and move up. I have a decent enough job, but it can be inconsistent, and turning poker from a hobby to a reliable source of income is more important than ever. I just don’t want to have to rely on anyone else for my income, at least not all of it.
