My Story: I do not have aspirations of playing professionally, but I love live poker and hope to properly bankroll myself for 2/5 live games at the local casinos. I am a busy guy, so I cannot put in significant volume. Thus, I assume this challenge will take a long time. Right now, I teach high school during the day, teach at evening high school two nights a week, bartend on the weekend, am taking a class toward my Masters Degree and am an active husband and father of four. Yeah, I'm busy. I do like to multitable SnG's a couple times a week when the rest of the family is asleep.

My BR Management Plan: I am currently playing $1.50 SnG's, both no limit hold 'em and PLO8. My edge seems to be a little higher in the PLO8 games because the player pool is weaker. When my bankroll hits $90, I will move up to $3.50 SnG's, with a plan to move back down if I drop to $45. At $180, I will move to $7 SnG's, with a plan to move back down if I drop to $90. At $400, I will play some NL10 and $15 SnGs, dropping back down if I drop to $200. At $1000, I will play some NL25 and $30 SnG's, dropping back down if I drop to $500. If I reach $2500, I will start taking shots at NL50, and if my online bankroll hits $6000, I will withdraw it and play 1/3 live. When I hit $10,000, I will play some 2/5 live. Also, if I have time, I may play some MTT's online for 1% of my BR or less.

Short term goals are to study with GTObase, continue to make smart decisions with my BR, slowly grow the BR and improve my ROI and ITM stats. I will update every 100 games, as well as when I move up or down in limits.

An Update: I continued to grind away at the tiny SnGs and ran the roll up to about $80. Then I took a shot at NL10 boost(zoom). I played well and ran well and the roll is now at $125, plus I am about to earn another $5 in rakeback. I enjoy the cash a lot more than the SnGs; so I’ll probably ride it out and give myself a stop loss of a couple buy ins. Hoping I continue to grow that roll!
