About an hour after you left the table.. I 4-bet KK and I got snapped called by the lady to my left with pocket JJ...

It doesn't take players long at all to make adjustments... Plus, I play with the Asain guy in seat 8, Sal in seat 9, a lot.. Plus, I play with guy in seat 2 a good bit..

I saw that KK/JJ hand too. I don't think the hand you 3! me out of the SB went to showdown so I'm not sure how it would impact your image. There's probably more to the story than that though, and since we have't played many hands together I just don't know you well enough at this point to make any accurate conclusions. Maybe the 50 y/o lady thought you were messing around because you have more history with her. I did think it was kinda funny how after she cold 4! JJ and you 5! jammed she called and asked if you had AA. There were just a couple other hands she was losing to as well. Heehee 1/3.

I jammed fast.. So, I think, maybe she snapped me off fast and then realized right after she called. That maybe she was making a mistake.. It happens.. I have made mistakes like that..

What it's like to downswing, according to me. (This is probably not an original thought but it's the best I could come up with.)

Now that I am well into the downswing I'm just numb and like "whatever, resigned to my fate," kinda like a hostage must eventually feel after a while. You just get used to being held captive. Helpless. But at least I'm over the initial shock of being kidnapped. I've moved on from anger and despair and am accepting reality. Experiencing a downswing is a lot like going through the stages of grief. I've lost something that meant a lot to me - rungood - and I am slowly coping with that loss.

A lot of my runbad was from PLO5 last month. I just lost pretty much every big 60/40 or 50/50 AI whether pre or post. Then ran badly at HE, which was unusual - every AK l/rr got outflopped, AA got cracked several times by PPs HU in 3! pots or AI pre for heaps, etc., sets not holding all of a sudden. Unusually card dead too. Missing with dominating draws against weaker draws. It's been sick!

Nice thing is my rungood leading up to now over a year+ which means I have a very low risk of ruin. Still, lately have been playing lower stakes and at lower-variance casino more while I work through the pain.

Isn’t PLO high variance

Yeah especially PLO5. But to lose in HE on top has been pretty brutal. It’s something I could normally count on.

I will try PLO eventually (dealt 4 cards)...I even bought a book..but will gradually need to build a ‘PLO’ roll and have a solid fundamentals understanding when I finally try..that will be a while..strictly focusing on 2/5 and a little 5/T NL now

Hit 1/3 cash and run it up... It is poker.. Things can turn fast.. You might get on a small heater and run up a big stack fast... It happens.. I crushed it this morning in only a few hours of play..
