Ran well at 5/5 plo thanks to AKKT5ds, up $2600 there, flopped mid pair overpair and nut flush draw and got there three ways against top two fd blockers and top set. Table spot got short stacked so I left for 1/2 plo which looked softer. Running it back! Nice to get some forward momentum after a rough night.

Won more at 1/2, just smaller pots here and there, got a seat at 25/25 but wasn't feeling well so let after under an hour in an uneventful session. Still not feeling great, at least I took acetaminophen for my headache.

Now that I don't have a splitting headache anymore and am caffeinated, I want to make an effort to work on my table presence. No arguments, if anyone antagonizes me I'll just laugh it off. I want to be a positive influence for the game and be the bigger person. I am a top player and I don't need to stoop to a level that is beneath me. I want to be a good example and not get into petty arguments that bring me down. No negative energy.

Also I am doing a smaller $25,000 br challenge starting today. I feel like these sorts of challenges are good for my motivation.

I have financial goals and fiscal responsibility is important to me reaching them. I don’t want to overextend and veer off track from my monthly/annual targets by too much.

Shot taking this game reminded me a little when I started playing the big mixed game. Seemed a little foolish and maybe this decision is too.
What I was trying to get at is if you want to get in with these people and get repeat invites to good games being a dirty shortstacker probably isn't the best way to go about that. Probably best to not play at all if you are going to shortstack. Just my opinion.

Kato is right here IMO -short stacking is no way to get a regular seat in big games.

I feel pretty confident in my bankroll management skills at this point that I know how far to push it. Plus I’m still getting invited back in spite of short stacking.

Ran ok today, AA held at 10/10, 76542ds in straddle with $25 ante lost five ways with 24% equity against a bunch of high cards and two people with AA, won with mid set at 1/2 plo though. Getting tired and still not feeling great, gonna call it soon.might have made $1,000 in the day.

Br challenge: $24,000 and counting (or so).

Always morally confused by this mentality. If the structure of the game states one can buy-in for 40bb then one can buy-in for 40bb. It's like being banned from a game for x-raising. Sometimes it's okay to disregard etiquette, especially when the etiquette in question is not necessarily good for the game (i.e. games shouldn't be "invite only" in the first place). And, yes, shortstackers get on my nerves sometimes, too.

You seem to be a pretty cool nice guy, so please take this advice as something constructive.

If you are perceived to be a big winning pro, I think you should care what the rec players think about you do. We can ignore the rec players who are scumbags and are known to have no character. If the nice guy rec players prefer that you tip more to the dealers, do it. If they prefer that you buy in for a full stack, please don't short stack. Etc.

It's somewhat like the Golden Rule. Put yourself in their shoes. And then act accordingly.

Thank you everyone for looking out for me. IÂ’ll keep it all under advisement. The truth is I wouldnÂ’t be where I am without help from a lot of you who have looked out for me over the years.

Sorta slow plo session, grinding a few hundo here and there, grateful for the modest win. Gonna call it an early night before or after hopping into a 2/5, the games were so-so today. Some folks migrating here from Philly and Parx lately, 4c players though.

Happy Father’s Day!
