Interesting hand I witnessed the other night. I think feedback on it would be good in case I run into similar situations myself. 1/2 MDL Casino. V1 older Asian $900 got big double up earlier against maniac who misread his hand and thought he had trips (which would have been no good to V's boat anyway), V2 young WG electrician $1,000 has been running like a god and knows it. V1 opens UTG with KK to $15. V2 calls BTN. Heads up to flop:
9-J-4r.
V1 leads for $30, V2 calls. Pot $90.
Turn: K completing rainbow.
V1 leads $75, V2 raises $175. V1 calls. Pot $440.
River: 6.
V1 checks, V2 bets $350. V1?
Thanks,
DT

Flop - bet less, maybe $20. You'll be giving another card to one opponent at most. You want calls from suspicious V's with marginal hands. You don't want to stack off, but you want to bet all three streets. Betting all streets will show enough strength to allow folds. If you underrep, you won't be able to fold appropriately.
Turn - call the raise. He could two pair or one of the smaller sets. Not sure why AK would be raising though so we have to discount it heavily. Stacks to deep for solid V's GII here with AK, and V does seem like he wants to get it in. A straight is also a possibility and would be a real cooler.
River - I like the initial check unless V is passive or overly prudent when deep stacks threaten to go in. No need to let him know that the bottom and middle of his range is no good.
Do we GII here? Two pair probably not calling a shove. 9 combo's of smaller sets. 16 combo's of Q10 but only 4 of them are likely. Tough call. A lot will be depending on what you've seen V show up with and what kind of hands he's been calling with pre from position. In a vacumn, I would be tempted to just call, but that could be too conservative.
