Hey guys!

1/2
200 effective.

Villian is late 30s white male casually dressed with what I think is an eastern european accent. He has played his draws very aggressively and has put his stack in several times on non-nutted draws. Has been running very hot, hitting a majority of draws, hitting 2-outers and filling up against flushes. Is not timid about shoving it in. Generally tight pre-flop however.

2 limpers from EP
HJ makes it 10(maybe 12)
Hero picks up KJo in the CO and calls
Villian/Btn calls
Blinds fold and limpers complete.

FLOP Jh 5h 5s (52/57?)
3 checks
Hero bets 45
Villian shoves for 149 total (folds to hero)

Pot 250ish

Hero?

Snap. You say he puts it in with non nutted hands so I'd include QJ in his range also as well as mostly flush draws. He does include 5's but you are priced in to call here

I like your flop bet , remember hes shoving into like 5 opponents so thats a lot of strength , hes never doing this with q j , its either a flush draw or a 5 you said generally tight preflop so what hands with a 5 can he play? a 5 suited maybe 5 6 suited

I open fold KJo to a 6 bb open unless their is a specific reason not too.

How does he start the hand with 160 if he's been running hot? Seems like a small thing but if info like that is out it brings the rest of OP into question.

This is a standard fold preflop.

Curious how the opponent is tight pre, but finds himself hitting draws post. Also, with $200 effective, perhaps the raise is $149 on top? IDK, but based on opponent tendencies I'd lean to calling if indeed it is $149 total.

Pre - ez fold. KJ just not strong enough to call a raise.

I'd be more concerned with the original raiser and his preflop range. If he is tight preflop then this is an easy fold. Flatting that raise pre is probably a big leak.

I'm probably not folding to the villain here though, hope he didn't have AJ.

based on read, I cant fold for 100 more with 150 out there already and stated reads. He has a flush draw here and a 5 here alot also. Maybe someone can play around with the percentages, but getting 1.5 to 1 on the money, I think its a call.

Then again I am a station sometimes, but if you have a good backroll I would call, top up if he has a 5 and say nh.

I agree completely, im not sure if there was a hand I missed where he had lost, he did however start the game with a very short stack. I can't remeber him losing any big pots though.

So are we agreeing the standard play is to fold pre?

Fold pre. As played, call the flop shove given description. You are getting good odds and are ahead of a little bit less than half of his range - 5-x, AJ, QJ, J10s, and FD's. 65s, 65s, and 75s are likely hands with which this particular villain probably would call preflop from the button multiway. Discount QJ and J10s heavily b/c w/ 5 players seeing flop, it is likely that there is a AJ or KJ out there from villains perspective. Hero would be in significantly better shape w/ AJ.

Most definitely. KJ is a &$%# with which to call raises.

Who raised pre? The Eastern European guy or another guy?
