Tips for newly opened casinos? Tips for newly opened casinos?

Ohio is going to open new casinos. I played some at Charles Town near DC and it was sick. Play was so bad but so many suckouts. I don't have BR to drop too many stacks.

Questions:
Any general play tips? ( I assume shift to more ABC and really profile players as there is more variation)

It seems like the play at 2/5+ will be even worse than regular, established, casinos. Wondering if this is true, and if the real money to be made is higher stakes than 1/2 before rich folks realize they suck.

Any other words of wisdom about how the play at new casinos differs and how to compensate?

Thx

Make sure you have 4 or 5 BI for what ever level your going to be playing and play best hand poker AKA value rang

I agree that when a casino opens up in a new market the games are softer then normal and with time will get tougher. But depending on how big the market is they can stay soft for years. At c-town for instance the average income in the part of the country is so high the players here can donk it off for a long time before the games tougher if ever.

I don't know that the games at the new Ohio casinos will be as soft as they were at newly opened casinos in the past. There were so many options for Ohio poker players (Mountaineer, Wheeling, Detroit, Nautica, and now Pittsburgh) that most who will play at the new Ohio casinos have some live experience, let alone experience at online play. Soft...yes. But not nearly as soft as they would have been a few years ago.

And obviously the rust-belt cities in Ohio are not going to be NEARLY as juicy as places like Charles Town near Northern Virginia (one of the richest places in the country).

I live here, so I'll play here. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Ohio to play though, lol.

I'm just curious about ways to maximize the edge from the new customers who do come in to "try it out".

The real money is rich folks who THINK they can play and bring $1-2k for the night, not the curious joe schmoe with $60 to throw at pokerz.
