No way I put in that much money with it here. Not ever. I've seen middle set lose way too many times.

I didn't say that Hero shouldn't be getting money in. I implied he way overplayed his hand when he 3! $280 into a $154 pot [overkill] and then gets 4! [all-in] for $640.00 and calls. Heck, it was even the player Hero refers to as "the good LAG" who goes all-in.
Now, really?!! Who the fruck puts all of their money in the pot here with 2 freakin' pair?!
Maybe they're on the west coast where everyone in the game makes 225k a year in an IT job & are just having fun on Saturday night. Then I could see it.
You see, I'm assuming they amassed that $640 stack using some decent poker skills, so I discounted him being a freakin' donkey. Or, is the max buy-in $300 & he's only doubled up?
Why not bet [instead of $280] the pot plus the $45 to call, which would be $199, so $200 max?
Hero says he has everyone covered & figures he is going broke if anyone has a set of 66's. This tells me he doesn't have many reads on his Villains. Also, by not betting more pre & on the flop, he failed to gain info on how strong his opponents were along the way.
I'm clueless as to why we have to 3-bet $280 & then assume we have decent equity when someone goes all-in for $640.00.
Do players ship all the chips they've built up with top 2 where Hero plays?
I mean Jeezy Peezy. If I raise to $45 & Hero bet $280 & we'd been playing together for a few hours, I'd know my top 2 might very well be beat & having been paying attention to the players throughout the hand, would be trying to get a read. I wouldn't make a 10 second all-in bet. Hell, I wouldn't do that with top set, as I wouldn't want to tell them what I had without saying anything.
But you see, I don't listen to music, chat it all up with my neighbors & daydream when I'm not in a hand. I'm no expert poker player, but I don't see anyone around here shippin' $640 with top 2 pair.
