Have you ever played live before? Normally online to 2/5 would be a big jump but if that's the lowest your casino offers there are probably a few bad gambly players sitting down.

At the beginning of the week I opened up like 35 2p2 tabs and just murdered all of them in preperation for my first big (entire) weekend playing 1/2. There's a ton more that you need to know, but I found those threads especially useful, so at least it's a start. Try to find threads with links to all types of threads.

There was one really specific one that I'll try to find, that had links to like over 100 really legit threads...

if u know poker already then no need to read really just no these few points..

-std live raise is much bigger then online, a 5Xbb raise could be his whole raising range and not just big hands.

-low FE, people dont come to fold TPTK and if the pair is an A its even harder.

-be patient, its a slooooow game sometimes

You probably already know enough if you were a winning player online. If your taking a shot I would try it on the weekend. Its when the games are softer.

Even if you're shot taking with 1 buyin I would still try to wait till you have 1k to do it with so you can keep 500 in your pocket to top off..sucks to lose ~150 in your first few hands and be stuck playing with a short stack the rest of the time
