Almost done with primary research for my dissertation. Hope to finish it this week, my aching neck permitting. Then I'll get going on writing the damned thing.

This does not fit in well with my theory of a clash of civilizations therefore I reject it.

Couple o shots of our gal SPC flyin at the point. I have not flown paragliders in around a decade. So I took a couple o rips to start getting my skillz current again. Still know how to launch, fly, and land. We are heading out again for more fun tomorrow. I will do my best to get an hour or so in the air then I will start working on my speed wing skills.

Its pretty impressive how Huawei in a short span of time have established themself as a tech giant. The first Matebook pro got to the customers late 2017 i believe, and that knocked the competion out of the park on nearly all parameters.
How did you decide to buy a Huawei? Did you use a comparison site or just read lots of reviews?

So the ARabs use the Julain/Georgian calendar for this sort of thing?

It depends, but most Arabs use the Julian calendar for secular purposes, and the Hijri calendar for religious ones. Hardcore fundamentalists are more likely to insist on the Hijri, but terrorists who are trying to send a message to the West realize that the West wouldn't even know if it was the 5th of Muharram, or whatever.

Came into work on Monday and my computer motherboard was fried. Already got my replacement computer, and obviously have all my data backed up, but JFC what a pain in the ass to reset everything up.

Haven't played a hand of poker since March 8, 2020. Unlikely I'll play another hand this year (as unlikely casinos plus their poker rooms will even open here, and even if they do: meh to playing zombie poker).

No, because if you can't look a man in the eye and put him to a decision for all his chips then that's not poker.

So my BIL’s normal group plays their monthly on PokerStars play money with zoom calls and I’ve jumped into that once they started online (they’re in Maine, I’m very far from that). We usually get 15-30 people in the tourneys and about half the entries are on the zoom call
