Yeah, pretty much. I mean, their later stuff was fine, but considering that my first exposure was Dazzle Ships, their most experimental album, the later stuff generally disappointed me.
I only learned last week that album #2 (Organisation) was named in homage to the band Organisation which became Kraftwerk. Never put that together previously.
G have you watched They Shall Not Grow Old yet? WW1 doc told through the voices of the boys that were there. Really impactful I thought. Watched last night

Don't hang around Wikipedia much eh?
This was middle school groove:
and college groove
Also **** the normies for Pretty in Pink soundtrack.
I like the cut of your jib and would like to subscribe to yer newsletter
they also had one of the best SNL performances imo
Was that Fred Willard introducing them?

I'd have to double check to confirm, but I think this is the only OMD that's made my iPod:
Played my first round of golf on Friday afternoon in 7 months. Last time out I shot my worst round since my illustrious return a few years ago, a whopping 110.
Shot an 87 on Friday, beating my best by two strokes since my return. Lol. Corona rules (raised cup, if you hear a "tink" you're good) so two debatable ones, but still.

Have not watched, or even heard of previously. Peter Jackson is well known as a WWI buff, though, so I'm not surprised he did such a project. Look forward to checking it out.
Air fryer sounds legit. My plan of cook them most of the way in the oven and then pan fry them in a 1/4 cup of oil to crisp them up at the end worked, but it was extremely messy, and thank god we have a whole-house fan to remove the smoke. We let that thing work while we ate on the back patio. Wings were 6/10, would eat again. Cooking experience was 3/10, would not **** with again just to get 6/10 wings.
Pretty happy with my sauces. Just bottled stuff, but they were all good. Did a sweet and spicy mango, a caribean jerk, and a chipotle. El Yucateco chipotle sauce is amazing. After extensive testing of every chipotle sauce I could find, I now order this one by the case. The mango and caribean jerk sauces were just store brands, but quite good. Trader Joe's and (believe it or not) Walmart, respectively.
Light braise or parboil and finish on the grill for easy wings.
But yeah... air fryer is the better long term solution.
Yeah, obviously not the same thing... but a pretty good substitute that doesn't fowl up the kitchen...
Spoiler:
heh...
If you have a shallow cast iron dutch oven or deep fry pan and a sidecar burner on your grill, you can do the frying outside too. Really need it to be cast iron tho to keep the heat high as my experience is that sidecar burners are fairly weak.

Good idea. I'd thought of the sidecar burner and thought it might be too weak, but using the cast iron might just do the job.
One of the first Post Kraftwerk electronic music pioneers. Bigger in Europe than USA but all the cool kids in USA#1 were rocking to this in 82-83-ish
This is their biggest hit after they became more synth pop (incoming Garlick rage response to this)
It was written for the Pretty In Pink soundtrack in 86
Having just watched that movie, I noticed there was excellent song selection at the end of each of the John Hughes teen angst movies (Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, Ferris Bueller) which helped convey whatever feelings he wanted the moviegoer to leave the theater with.

It happened a 2nd time with my general Tso's cauliflower. I now have one Tupperware of seasoned vegetables that disintegrate upon contact with a plastic spoon. And 1 one container of fried batter that separated upon contact with the pan.

glad you found your niche. I seem to remember Ferris had a decent soundtrack.
