It was private. They obviously have a keyword flag.

When that happened I just thought that was the stupidest thing to even have.

Like you really think you're going to be catching ISIS people who are labelling their $14 transactions with that word?

Maybe they also have money laundering on the list as well.

friend had his venmo suspended because someone put "hostage negotiation" in the comments section

he was livid since he used venmo to receive payments for his business

Venmo is not meant to be used for business purposes unless you unlock their new business thing

I’m actually suprised it took them that long to even add a business profile

IMO venmo is meant for husbands/wives, boyfriends/girlfriends, boyfriends/boyfriends, husbands/husbands, wives/wives, etc to awkwardly publicly display the weird **** they pay each other for.

Brian sent Becky $5 for coffee
Becky sent Brian $2.99 for a glazed donut
Brian sent Becky $3.50 for secks
Becky sent $3.50 back to Brian because it wasn’t a completed transaction

i don't understand serious relationships that keep a close accounting and keep finances separate

like i know married couples who keep separate bank accounts and pay for things individually - like i'll ask the husband for the team dues for the two of them for softball and he'll pay me his and then she'll go to the atm and pay me separately

does anyone itt do anything like that? not judging or knocking, i'd personally be far wealthier now if i did that in prior relationships so more trying to figure out how to go about it without it getting weird, or at least the way i imagine it'd be weird/stressful

If it's any benefit, I was glad to plow through the btc discussion. Rob presented some information, others presented different information. I feel as though I understand it a little better (though not nearly enough to get involved).

I do have a question about the key(?) that someone was suggesting they could store in iCloud, though. Am I correct in thinking that's a generated key file, kind of like the certificate when you register a website?

If so, wouldn't it stand out in an iCloud photos environment? Everything else is a photo, one (or few) files are not? Or, a script reads the directory and looks for certain extensions which are not jpg, gif, etc?

If that's too deep down the rabbit hole, please feel free to ignore.

Short answer: Data is very easy to hide in picture files that do actually also display a picture.

We have separate checking accounts where our paychecks are deposited as well as a joint account that has the cash we got as gifts from our wedding. We keep track of nothing else for the purposes of who paid what vs the other. Whomever it’s more convenient for in the moment when it’s time to pay for something pays.

Basically I’m starving so I opened ubereats and placed the order or vice versa.

golddog, there are a number of good crypto threads here, problem is it's mostly people who got in really early and have had so much success anything neutral stance is viewed with some hostility since it's even full on crypto or not at all

still good stuff posted there by very knowledgeable people on it

It’s also equally easy to hide the true meaning of the words put right in front of someone’s face.

The kid is comfortably numb, routine a tedious crutch
Deep in a self imposed Stockholm and Lima influx
Maybe an occupation popular with demons and ducks
Made any mingling akin to bein' seasoned and stuffed
It's a theatre of jumpin' jellyfish, jealous little sycophants
Miserable and flimsy from the skivvys to the pissy pants

hostile farha itt blinded by success.

Bitcoin sucks as a daily currency. It’s amazing for large transactions particularly.

Also **** the government and the banks.

That’s my stance

I use it solely for friends/relatives for splitting meals or paying for small **** between people (GS cookies, FB marketplace, names on the backs of rec jerseys, BS like that)

I can’t imagine wasting the time of “paying” my wife for something

We have separate CCs that we don’t see each other’s purchases on. I have my own bank accounts, that she is aware exist but has no way to see the $ in them, and she uses our shared accounts.

She also has no idea where a bulk of our money is or what it is invested in, mostly because she doesn’t really care so long as we have money.

I know we don’t have a similar situation to most people we know, but it works for us

I guess. I mean it's the equivalent of making people take off their flip flops before they go through the penis outline machine at the airport.

They get a warrant for any of the nodes your btc passes through. I believe you are transacting with a cell phone, wifi, modem, and X number of servers which can all be hacked, legally because it's the government doing it. I don't know if btc is more secure than a traveler's cheque or Venetian certificate. But to say something is anonymous but can be accessed online from anywhere is completely contradictory.

Just wait until banks get a hold of cancel culture. No need to wait, they already are.

Speaking of wives and money and investments, mine is all excited about her two daughters recent home purchases that now she is floating the idea of doing our own condo purchase (purely investment which we'll rent out). Sigh. I had long ago concluded that I didn't want to go down the landlord route (seems too risky with regards to putting extra stuff on my plate that I don't have the time/energy to deal with) and am perfectly fine with all my piles of money just passively making their interest unattended.

I was recently in Sedona AZ. Some of these 'air bnbs' were almost literal. The owner pitched a tent in the back yard and that was your rental. I really hope that it included use of the indoor bathroom.
