Wow you listed a long list of stuff I would never do, but I guess you're right.

If for some reason I decided to do all of that I guess I would have something to worry about. I'll have to think twice the next time I step foot outside.

just breathe a little and stop being so angry and taking everything so seriously.

There’s plenty of places on the internet where you can shake your fist at the world and far fewer where you can just chill and express your views in a low content chat.

On the home gym front, today I'm building a platform for deadlifts and to hold the power rack. Gym flooring tiles I picked up aren't nearly as sturdy as advertised and won't work.

Not sure how people are building these for $200 when that doesn't even cover the OSB and plywood.

NFL Thoughts:
So if Brady retired Brees this week, could Rodgers retire Brady this week?
Hope Mahomes is OK. Didn't look like a bad play but he was messed up when he tried to get up.
Browns. LOL.
Buffalo is a really good team. Maybe not quite good enough to win at Arrowhead. Maybe.
Houston is a freaking dumpster fire. That escalated quickly.

How many pieces of OSB and plywood do you need? 4x8 3/4” OSB is $35 here. Pine ply only $40

I'm still coming in under the rogue 8×8 platform they sell. Which apparently is just a steel frame that you wedge their rubber inserts into. Ends up being like $600 for the frame and the mats.

YMMV but I just have this flooring and don't need a platform.

https://www.rubberflooringinc.com/in...ft-rubber.html

But I'm not dropping the bar at all, doing OLY lifts, etc. Also have rubberized bumpers. Complete non issue here.

Guy in our golfing foursome broke 80 for the first time in his life yesterday; 64 years old too, good for him. Another guy shot 103, which is his best (his first year playing golf regularly). I somehow managed an 88, which is only 1 off my best since my illustrious return to golf a few years ago (and last couple of months I'm having a really hard time breaking 100 in these conditions).

All in a complete mud bog of a track where you're lucky to get 10' of roll on most hits and most chipping is done from swamps. I'm literally using 2 clubs difference on every shot and feel twice as lame as I usually do.

Thanks, this is helpful and what I was looking for. I thought this is what I was buying but what I have isn't as sturdy.

Can't imagine Brady retiring after one year at TB. If he was willing to forego retiring as a Patriot it wasn't for just one year, regardless of how the rest of this season plays out. Only chance is if he sustains some kind of very serious injury.

I would never bet against Brady in a playoff situation but last night I booked my 8 year olds first sports bet for education purposes. He took the Bucs -140.

Yo Don. I did a fair amt of research on this stuff. Here is a top shelf vid on building a platform.

Also took out the new sticks today. Holy sheeyit they are fun. They simply want to hold on everything and fcuking crank turns. The light was flat and it was slightly snowing, so I took it easy. Did 59mph and honestly thought maybe i got up to 50 (they are that stable). Cant wait to really let these puppies rip. Can not recommend these enuf. They are flat out fun.

edit just saw the thumbnail for the vid. She is legit. team usa blah blah blah

Video looks like the guide I'm following. Picked up the OSB and plywood earlier this morning. I have 2 4'×6' rubber, horse stall mats arriving later today.

Wife and I win the teamwork award for successfully navigating 5 8'×4' boards, 500lbs of bumper plates, and a 300lb rack downstairs into the basement. It was a miracle to fit the plywood around the bottom of the staircase.

Surprised these videos not recommending gluing the plywood together. Screws will only last so long to dropping forces from deadlifting before they start creaking out. I would spend $30 and buy a gallon of titebond wood glue. Get an old credit card and generously slather it on between the plywood sections, then screw them together. Wipe away the squeeze out with a wet rag. It will hold together way better. Wood glue is stronger than wood itself
