Question for members of the I.W.N.B.A.R.B. club... - Live Low-stakes No Limit Poker Forum

Those of you who joined the I Will Not Bitch About Running Bad club (too eazy, bottomset, SABR, etc), two questions -

A) Have you succeeded in not bitching?
B) Have you run exceedingly bad and still refrained?

I haven't bitched in like 2 weeks and I'm feeling very proud of myself, I'm considering application for membership.

i know. and to be completely upfront i knew i was in the wrong while i was posting, but it just felt so damn good. oh well, i took a shot, gotta gamble to win boys.

I know I'm a newb and all, but how do I join? What are the fringe benefits? I do think not bitching about it helps, as long as you can keep it out of your mind. Some people need to vent though.

There is such a thing as running bad. There has to be in order for there to be variance. I know at times it's bad play that people perceive as running bad....but I can think of many times when I got my money in as a huge favorite only to lose a big pot. On the other hand, I've gotten my money in wayyyy behind (even if I didn't think I was) and end up winning the hand.

and i've run both very bad and very good, but probably run better than average lifetime.

There are times when you get it behind when you think you are a huge favorite. Like flopping bottom set, but someone played top set extremely weird. This happened 2 weeks ago when a pfr raised to 4xBB, 2 people called including me. Flop was A69r. Pfr bets 35 into 65, I flat, someone r/r, pfr calls, I jam....other guy folds and pfr calls and shows AA and I'm drawing to to the case with 66...and get there. I put them on AT-AK before the call of my shove...but obv I was way wrong.

Oh yeah, screw wearing tweed! I don't care if I turn into a virgin again.

i do my best to not bitch. what ussually ends up happening is once you start to complain about running bad you purposely play bad so that you can keep complaining/feel bad for youself/etc. at least that's what i find. a lot easier to try to just keep playing well and not think about complaining/the bad beats/the coolers.
