Ray Zee made a good point in the magazine this month.

Quote:
You notice how often the big winners move in compared to the weaker players and the reason is that it works.
I find when I'm playing well and running well I'm getting my stack in more. Often on the turn it seems in $1/$2.

Do you often get your whole stack in?

Lol "playing well"..... No sh*t you're gonna get you stack in more when you are running well.

Also I think the answer to you question really depends on who you're playing and especially how DEEP you're playing.

Its a simple point. If a player is playing optimum, he is making big semi bluff bets, 3 barreling allin some, CR bluffing some, check shoving flops some, etc.
So yeah, obviously a player playing "jam up" is moving a lot of chips around.

The trick is when, how, who against, etc. And if not done correctly, they have a different name for it. (Spew)

when you're running hot
ppl give you more credit to hands, so you can make all kinds of crazy moves
then when your image gets bad, tighten up and stack them again with monsters

This still really depends on how deep you're playing. Usually you won't just be check shoving flops with 100bb stacks in raised pots.

your stack is your threat to your opponent. by having him believe you may move in keeps him under control. moving in more often means you bet lighter for more money and bluff for bigger amounts. forces them to call more in big pots or suffer big losses to you.
