This abs.

As played it is marginal but I probably call the bet as the hand is a little bit too strong to fold just yet to a small bet and against a seemingly tight V 8x should not be a big part of his UTG limping range. Unless its exactly 88. I would be more worried about a slowplayed AA/KK that now wants to find out where he's at. See the quoted above, your baseline assumption in 1/3 barring further reads should be that everyone is terrible.

With one more player in that could shove, or with a strong read, I guess you can make a nitty fold here though

We're not HU though. The UTG limper checked when the 8 paired and V2 took over betting. Against typical loose passive LLSNL Vs, it's entirely feasible that V2 has 8x suited in his MP limp/call range.

If I read the hand correctly V2 is in the SB, MP folded preflop and now UTG, that, according to OP we think is tight, bets.

Hero called for this sizing and not putting V1 on too many 8x combos in his UTG limp/calling range. Also, from my studies if this is a good V he should be donking this turn with all his draws too since the 8 is a terrible card for me and good for him. I wanted to put him to the test and see if he blinked otr.

River ($218): 7h. It's 8-7-3-8-7, draws bricked. V fires $110.

All black suited 76s, 87s, 98s are now live (both 7s and 8s overlap on suits). Another terrible card for our range/great for his, but given 1/3, I doubt he’s paying much attention to that.

The meat of it: we’re beating 99 exactly, along with draw-missing bluffs. It’s a marginal spot against solid players capable of firing off with a missed FD, but given the player’s profile/second straight donk bet, I definitely fold. If he shows the bluff, give him an atta boy and adjust your profile of him.

I haven’t thought about it much, but I hate facing donk bets, since he doesn’t seem like the type to donk bet air when he has a range advantage,

I would say HU we should flat, he is just calling a raise with combo draws right? If he folds TPTK that would be the worst result possible. TT is WA/WB so we should call and bluff catch.

I would think multi-way it is better to raise, but I still prefer a call,

I’m folding this turn, the SB could put in a raise with 77 or 33.

Raise flop. Fold turn. Fold river.

JJ is a much better call here than TT for more reasons than just that it's one pip higher.

Yeah fold and congratulate if he bluffed you out, it will rarely happen

I tank folded. He showed J9ss! I told him good river barrel. I was so close to calling!

In terms of blockers, which weighs more heavily? Blocking T9 for the OESD, or unblocking flush draws?
