If he had air he'd probably bluff flop.
I don't disagree, but if we're really limiting V's range here to {AA/AK} then V likely knows that's what his range looks like too. And yet we're still willing to bet into him on a K hi flop?

If stacks were deeper I'd love a small flop bet. But since we can easily GII over two streets, I don't see the purpose.

Seems to be 50/50ish between bet small and check.

NEXT MOVE - I opted to check because I can easily get it in over 2 streets and more importantly a) I think V has KK in my range (and of course AK) and b) I think V is very capable of folding A's here if I somehow F-this up. It's weird because the K on the flop could cause V to think I have less KK in my range but him probably having AA's also block H from having AK.

Turn is Jh (Flop was KxTh6X) ($300)

V leads for $230 ($300 effective behind) . H? I assume now it's an easy shove over the top and if, somehow, V has AQ I just need to use my '1-time' on the river. Correct? Obviously AA, AK and QQ all picked up equity here.

I vote for a half pot sized bet, but smaller is OK too, but I think it depends on your opponent and how he will perceive the bet.

Reason I say this is that a $90 bet into a $300 pot looks like a "please call me" bet... and that will scare away the under pair type hands, QQ in particular.

Whereas a half pot size bet could make it look like (to villain holding QQ) that you have JJ, or TT and are trying to steal the pot after V shows weakness on flop.

And if Villain does hold AA or AK (which I think are totally possible) then a half pot size bet makes getting it AI on flop or turn, much easier.

^ thas why you size your JJ-99 bluffs similarly small on the flop. If villain is folding under pairs on Axx and Kxx flops then you have a super cheap bluff stab.

Personally, I think QQ/JJ are calling one street when you bet small, and since b/4b pre -> x/c 25-30% PSB post severely caps his range on Axx and Kxx flops (especially wetter ones) you should be able to move him off those hands with a healthy turn barrel.

RESULTS
H shoved over V on turn, V shrug called w/ AA and my hand held up.
