If you're exercising and you sweat, you are working it enough. Caring about any specific numbers is typically a waste of your time.
Also, I question the accuracy of the heart rate monitors on much of the cardiotard equipment. It seems like it'd be something easy to make right, but I've had my BPM be +/- 20 from machine to machine. If you have one of the monitors that's like a watch or the ones with a chest strap, then you're getting an accurate reading.
