I guess he's more thinking that he needs to find bluffs to go with his AA, KK, AK there. K is a blocker to AK so he has that going for him and the small size maybe looks like an Ax hand that looks for a cheap showdown - though not sure how many Ax hands continue on the flop; maybe AQ? I am not sure KJo is a 4bet against an SB 3bet; I am not sure it's a 4bet against a BB 3bet which should be more polarized.

Re Bond, the best part is the heroine's names. I always giggle when I realize that Bond producers had a character with the name Holly Goodhead.

[HC gov Alert] FINAL DEADLINE: 11:59 PM (PST) tonight. Pick a plan, or risk going without 2019 coverage.

Whatever will I do?!? How will I ever be able to afford the $0 penalty for not having coverage?

In modern home alone, half the movie would be the characters waiting in TSA lines and any normal parent would realize they were missing a kid because they would have to ask if they need help with their shoes

Do American companies pay you holiday pay in place of annual leave? I was reluctant to apply for a job cause it only gave 20 days + bank holidays which is the minimum requirement here afaik.

20 days + bank holidays is way more than the average in the USA.

Entry level you are extremely lucky to get 3 weeks (most get 2 weeks or 0). Depending on the job, also probably get 8-10 holidays.

After several years, might get an extra week.

Thankfully I work in tech and most tech companies have gone to a flexible, "unlimited" vacation policy. No worrying about having enough vacation.

Can you get more off unpaid?

Im not trying to sound like a grumpy old man here, but how does this not get abused?

I currently get 20 + every government holiday imaginable...honestly dont see how i could get more than 25 and still contribute my salary's worth of value.

Actually i dont see how I contribute it currently anyways.

We’re all salaried and have a pretty good idea of what our expected “output “ is, have project deadlines, etc

In a sense a vacation isn’t really a vacation as we still need to get everything done. As long as one makes sure they are keeping up with their work it’s all good.

Yeah, around here most work is largely project driven. Seat/face time is not really a thing. All that matters are the results. If you abuse the vacation leaving work unfinished you won't last long. So it is kind of a self policing policy.

Also if you ever leave, the company has no vacation to pay you out on because the accumulation is 0. So it makes sense for them to have policies like this.

Have you ever tried to take that much vacation? It's virtually impossible if you have actual work to do.
12-15-2018 , 05:18 PM
Exactly Johnny...that’s what I’m getting at.

So what’s the average days taken that you guys would guess under the unlimited policy? Is it still around 20-30? (30 being a lot imo)

Finance varies between project work and daily tasks...but it’s tough to even take 5 consecutive days. Real tough.

Remote is gaining popularity though which I’m super excited about. Found a few new postings (using flexjobs.com) and I’m convinced that my next role will be remote.

People I know that have unlimited policies still end up taking around 4wks a year give or take. But varies a lot depending on your position, workload and how you manage your own work and time.

For me I took a week around Thanksgiving, a week around Christmas/NY, 2 wks Chinese new year, 2 weeks in the summer and then a random Friday here or there.

Given I’m self employed and on 100% commission based activity and dealing with humans in the services business rather than a product type business, I find the only time of year I can have a full break and do no work at all is the Christmas and New Year break.

Because it’s also mid Summer here, the business world basically closes down for two weeks or more. I’m aiming to take almost 3 weeks off from this coming Weds til 7th Jan

Other than that, even if I go away with my family, I have to do at least 2-3 hours work wherever I am and usually more. I would never expect my clients and the candidates I’m working with to stop the processes I’m working with them on for a week or two while I’m away. There was one year in Vegas when I did about 30 hours work during the week I was there.

So I am on a quest to get super lean. Bin slackin and have had more processed carbs in the past 6 months than I had in the prior 10 years combined (seriously). I eat lots o eggs. I have found a new product called muscleegg.com I have no affiliation just use the product.

Its free range flavored pasteurized egg whites. Just started using em and they are tastey as fook. U can cook with them or just drink them. The pastuerization process makes them the consistency of milk (in no way slimy etc). The mint brownie literally taste like girl scout thin mints. Price works out to be just under 2.50 per dozen. They are currently having a sale BOGO bringing the price down to under 1.25. If u eat lots o eggs or are trying to lean up I highly advise gettin em

I have nominally unlimited vacation time and the office closes between Xmas and New Years but I’ve only had 6 weekdays in 2018 where I didn’t bill any time.

Attorney work literally never stops

cmon mang I stated I have zero affiliation. I simply like the product and want to share with the pen.

I was super excited when I got the stroke master 5000 jerk off tool. Gave an honest review that I was underwhelmed. I see lots o guys here talkin bout cutting and tryin to get lean. Egg whites are an ossum source of protein...and utilized properly they will in fact be a helpful tool in becoming a lean mean fightin machine!

Fleshlight launch seems to be the cutting edge in bawl jerkin technology.

Any pen testimonials?
