I'm glad that they are making their way over to the cash games instead of immediately getting in line for an SNG. Would give anything to be at The Woods this week.

She can't say nothing, ima be rich one day, she trys to throw smart remarks in. Like you never by yourself nothing. Or you will rather lose money then go out to dinner.

Its just the start, she will be happy when I get to the mid level games.

Vegas is not a place to live, when you live in Cali "ya dig"

Missed out on that house game APD.

Probably the best home game I've been at. No rake, only have to give tips, had two tables running within 30 minutes of the game starting. Two players had a clue although not great, and the rest were just god awful.

Ended up cashing out for 1200. Hopefully next time you can check it out.

Had a feeling you'd say log on and drop a line explaining the great game I missed and how you took a grip off of them... story of my life man!

I so wanted to play but I was exhausted and figured I would a) hate the drive by myself and b) suck hardcore because I was tired.

I would like to play that game though so maybe you can set me up or something??

When do you plan on coming back again?
03-21-2011 , 05:38 PM
Haha sorry. I'll ask my friend if he doesn't mind meeting you next time he goes. I won't be back until Thanksgiving.
03-21-2011 , 07:32 PM
i need to find myself a home game that plays 1/2 or bigger

Sigh. Just another example of where you miss the larger point.

If you thought the song was about being in Las Vegas, you didn't understand it at all.

it's autobiographical.
suffer thru it, calidonks, and you'll see what it's about.
I actualy posted it cuz it's inspiring,
>young kid sets out on his own to 'make it', and runs into a lot of adversity,
but keeps trying...
kind of a 'Rocky' story.
I think Buck Owens 'made it' in music...
and i'm sure he paid his dues, too.
and he is from california, so give some props.
I'm from Texas, where country singers are a dime a dozen,
damn, he's all ya'll got!

He appeared on Hee Haw for many years. The Beatles covered his song "Act Naturally" in 1965. On the last night of his life, he wasn't feeling well and told the patrons at his restaurant that he was going home instead of performing. One couple told him they had driven from Oregon simply to see him. He apologized in advance that he wasn't going to sing his best, but if someone had driven that far to see him, he was going to perform. He died in bed from a heart attack later that night.
