fwiw hes isnt as horrible as some people say imo. yeah hes plays a bit loose for everyones liking but that doesnt mean hes trash. not saying he doesnt hit his share of big draws vs top sets etc, but its not like hes playing completely ******ed.

If sobrao was really that bad why would be be constantly playing 5/10, 10/20, and 25/50 (i saw him here last week) in addition to 2/4 and 3/6?

Oh yea, he did win that too. Although I thought he won some amount over 100k in a tourney about two years ago...

Sobrao isn't awful in the sense that hes a huge fish, hes awful in the sense that hes awful for a 5-10/2-4 reg, he obv still wins money off fish/gets lucky vs regs but he def runs way above expectation and wins a lot more than he should.

I have played with him only few hundred hands, so I don't know how bad or good he is but fact is that he can't run forever above expectation. I have heard the same "sobraluckbox" story in every single month (for now more than 6 months) and I am pretty sure anyone can't upswing 6 months in a row! If he really can, then he playing less than 15,000 hands in month or pokerstars is rigged. So I think, you all have selective memory and you remember only hands where he make suck out or his bad play got rewarded.

i dunno, he has some preety massive leaks/makes a tonnn of bad plays

Hes pretty much the only person who I have said has been ridiculously running over stats over a large sample and I have played with tons of players.

It's stats there will always be outliers and because past expectation has no determination on future expectation this is always possible, and has happened in his case.

I'm around 40 bi's below all in expectation over 4 months of play and 155,000 hands. If I can run that bad, then Sobroa can run that good. There is a **** ton of luck in this game. Whether it's being the guy who has AA when the table donk decides to open shove 72o preflop or being the guy that bluffs with 4 outs and hits or being Vittinator when people shove 7 high into your sets and aces. There is luck that cannot be quantified.
