also you're probably already aware of this but use one e-mail account only for poker and nothing else and don't give it out to anybody.

.

Your system, while generally safer than not doing it, has possibly more catastrophic consequences if discovered.

quick derail: does moneybookers charge fees for deposits/withdrawals (in the same currency)? it's a little vague on the website..

Deposits no, withdrawals yes (although maybe dependant on withdrawal method).

they also take fees for some deposit methods, e.g. credit cards, if you are no VIP

i think he's saying if you have all your different poker accounts under one e-mail then they will all be compromised if it gets hacked somehow and it's even safer to have one separate e-mail account per poker account.

Hi!

I have a question to all iPoker players, especially the guys playing on Boylepoker.

Does any one of you still use the OLD SOFTWARE VERSION of Boylepoker? I'm talking about the good old iPoker software, you could mod with minimaxmod.

I found it way easier to multitable with this one. With the new software I am limited of playing 4-6 tables max...

I had to move to Boylepoker this month. On my old skin (VC) I still used the old software until last week, because I found the old installation files for download in the SSNL iPoker regs thread. So maybe I thought somebody has the ones for Boylepoker as well.

I already asked their support, but they couldn't help me...

Thanks a lot guys!

Yeah they wouldn't have to pick through the clutter of a regular email account as the only mail in there would be from poker sites, saving them a lot of time rounding up which sites youre a member of and whats your screennames.

I can search my 1000+ email hotmail for "poker" and have everything in a matter of seconds

Meh, I'm not going to trawl through 20 email addresses to receive my emails from the sites.

Basic good habits probably keep most random security problems away. Keep your PC maintained and clean, always sign out from facebook/gmail etc, don't save passwords for anything on the web or on poker clients. Stay behind a router firewall, stay wired. If you're paranoid, run your poker clients in a virtual so someone finding your laptop you left on the train doesn't open it and see a million poker related apps on the desktop and start to get ideas.

Spend the money to buy your software, keep it patched blah blah. If you're too tight to buy Windows and get some cracked version from a newsgroup, don't be pissed if it comes with 'extra' content.

Make strong passwords, change them regularly etc etc. I mean, if you're the target of an active hacking attempt, rather than someone accidentally stumbling upon your saved login/pass you left on PokerStars at a backpackers, then you're probably in trouble anyway.

Haven't had a virus since I last used a floppy disk.

Is this the same thing everyone else is experiencing or is it something different? I'm just trying to figure out if it's my internet connection/computer or if it's the client itself that's causing it.

I'm on Boyle Sports btw.

Thanks in advance.

Can someone please help me out and tell me if they are dealing with this too?

It's driving me crazy and I need to get to the root of it.

I can't speak for everybody obviously, but this is different to the disconnection problems most other people complain about.

this thread used to be cool

I liken the decline in games (number of games) at (lower) midstakes to the quality of this thread
