I am playing at Expekt poker and they have some nice promotions like weekly FPP race where they divide $20.000 between the winners. I see that a guy who owns this is playing Limit (ty PTR lol) 10/20. What I am confused about is, he is killing the competition in this races more or less and PTR has him showing played only 40.000 hands. Now, He is losing moneys at pokers, and making moneys out of the races (first place is $5000 weekly) but what I cant understand is, is it really that much bigger rake at FL that you can play 40k hands and have like half a million FPP's and win a race without thinking about it?

I was never good with calculating rake etc. especially for other forms other then NLHE but this kind of made me thinking as I played like 90k hands so far of NL (1/2 and 2/4 mostly) and made FPP's as this guy made in one week with less then half of hands played.

You pay a crapload more rake @ limit. For me, like 2,5-3 times more @ limit 10/20 in the same amount of hands as NL400 6-max.

No timebanks, but you get 30 seconds/hand which is more than you get on stars/FTP I think.

its more than the default on FTP, but if you use the timebank it's less. But most people dont use the timebank so you get an extra 10-20 hands/hour on FT

christ.. how hot does this guy run.. he coolered a guy like 10 hands before with AQ against AK on AAQ I think..

I think everybody got kicked (not me tho, but some players I talked to on IM)

every reg at 2/4 helping start the non 50bb tables you are literally killing the games atm, why why why do u like playing 2 or 3 shorties at a time , sooner or later every table has them

so new rake system didnt help at all?

pretty obvious why ppl do that, stop complaing and deal with it

some ppl dont have the confidence to start a game...

but especially at ipoker, this can be very very profitable when every table has a waitlist... fish dont join waitlists, they sit at the an empty seat

that said. i dont mind one or two shortdonks, its annoying when you play many tables, because you cant just blindly hit pot on every hand you want to play, but some of them are just so bad and i would consider them fish, too

btw. goatian. i appreciate that you start deep tables, but oftentimes, you sit out till the table is 4+handed and that isn't cool neither..

WTF is going on, sporadically on different tables for the last 15 minutes i've been getting "Sorry, this room is shutting down" messages, then i got it all at once on all my tables and they disappeared.
