Sorry, I was being ******ed. So, even if playing poker in Thailand is illegal BetFred doesn't do anything about it? Like start blocking ip addresses coming from Thailand etc? Anyone with experiences about this plz answer.

Also, even if poker is illegal in Thailand, does anyone at the police actually care? Like, I know it's on my responsibility, but unless there are any consequences I'm certainly playing there even if it's illegal.

ask the thailand thread DaGrunt

the police would care if they caught you because it is a good chance to swindle some money from a rich white guy (which is how the police operate)

no you wouldn't get put in prison, you would have to bribe them (pay a fine...)

but.........

you have about a 0.001% chance of getting caught, and no ipoker don't block ip addresses from thailand

dagrunt, just keep it to urself that ur playing and u should be fine, play poker and relax, they have to catch you playing and even if they do u just pay them little bit corruption ftw!
only site i havent been able to play on is partypoker they blocked players with thai ip, but that might have changed nowadays,

just one more thing, if ur using moneybookers/neteller use a proxy to login to those sites, i made the mistake of logging in from thai-ip and they closed my account for security reasons, next day i called them and asked them to unlock it and said im home now and logged in through a proxy
oh one more thing, dont use proxys like relakks because neteller/moneybookers knows about them and blocks that too

Yeah I don't think it's actively policed. I sat in the bar at a resort for a month and grinded, and apart from a couple of questions from other travellers, none of the staff gave a **** as long as I paid my bills. One of the owners/friends of the resort even organised two or three live games at the resort when I was there. This was organised by foreigners, for foreigners though.

This was Koh Phangan though, where everything is a little laid back, even the Thai hard stance on drugs.

Neteller usage *is* banned however, and if you so much as even log into your account from Thailand, they will lock it and need verification back in your home country. Get someone you trust to work your Neteller back home. Or set up a proxy.

i dunno, i used a proxy my friend setup
maybe mullvad works but im not sure, and not sure how to check it out before buying accounts, try to ask around
btw with neteller u might be able to talk with vipsupport and tell them ur going to thailand and want to access ur account and work something out, i remember something like that when i talked with them, long time ago, drunk all the time, and what not.. not so easy to remember everything

EyePoker not really working for anybody else? It's scanning tables okay, but very spotty in joining waitlists, maybe 50% of the time it just scans to the bottom of the lobby and does nothing.
