yo dfly does your wife have any hot friends?

i like me some experienced women every once in a while. i am a good house guest too.

so i was playing some 2/4 and me miguel piper and rob sainter are pwning the fish i think he is called something like IrishLonghorn anyways after a while we end up with 5 shorties at the table, so i sit out and type in
'any of you shorties wanna GTFO?'
miguel - 'what does that mean?' (this made me lol btw)
fish - 'here here'
me - if u sit out for 5 mins these shorties will *** off
fish - 'ok worth a try'
(fish sits out)
(random player takes our lead and sits out)
me - 'yo miguel and rob sit out till these shorties *** off'
they both insta sit out and within 2 mins we had zero shorties at the table and we even got to play the fish shorthande for like 5 mins before the table refilled, mostly with half stackers but at least no morons with $60-$80

there may be hope yet

and on a sidenote i may hv stopped running like a cripple on crack, def not running good atm but compared to the last 50k hands or so it feels like i never miss, unless its vs mightyjim of course cos that guy can dodge 21 outs with ease

lol aren't those sessions hilarious. Sometimes you are dodging all of the 21 outers, but getting 2 outed left and right. You feel like you are running like crap and really you are only about 2 BI under EV, not something absurd. Weird game the pokers.

The Double Deuce ($22, Sundays at 16:22)
The Daily Dollars ($1 rebuy every day at 15:15, $1 freezeout every day at 20:15)

You guys should play some PLO. You'll have no idea if you are running good or not. Every hand is all in and you almost never have someone crushed. It's pretty tiltless because you expect constant suckouts and stuff. And it goes so fast you can't even figure out if you were a favorite anyway before the next hand gets dealt.

If you play enough tables you only can tell if you are winning by checking your balance at the end of the night. Then again, if you are like me and forgot to check it when you started, you can spend the rest of the night trying to figure out if you ended up ~$400 or $1400.

i love PLO, i play a reasonable amount of it but mostly live, we get some sik soft 10/20 no cap games at the local casino and they hv some tournaments sometimes where u get players who literally hv no clue how to play and get it all in pre with AK49rainbow etc

Last edited by sparky999; 04-11-2009 at 07:02 AM. Reason: it's also v sik game, u can flop top set with a flushdraw and still be an underdog to win the hand!

I suppose I could try my deft subliminal messaging skills "ah choo. ah ah (menage?) Chooo...". But I'm afraid the wife will catch on and let me have it (not in the good way).

Lol @ TE, BM. Aren't you guys surrounded by college girls? Lamb > Mutton. Hey, I'm thinking about food again - must mean I'm getting better. :-)

PLO is devils game. I've had 30buyin boom switch in one day. and also 40buyin~ hellswing three times in span of a week. All in 140k hands. Not saying i'm the best PLO player but variance is way too sick for my taste.. Quit while ur ahead 8]

omg, I thought ericb was a solid nit, but he proved me wrong twice today.
he really made me laugh, but maybe I'm missing something and 3b/c with 77 in a blindbattle without history is totally standard.

PLO variance is brutal for sure but right now so many peopole hv zero clue on how to play its def long run profitable, if u can find a bad PLO player it's just free money cos they hv the opportunity to make so many more mistakes than in holdem

This.

They are all bad. I've been playing 2-4 as I teach myself how to play the game and the regs can't help but just hand over their money to me. It's like moving to Alaska. You get free money for showing up. And the people handing it out are pompous *******s.

Differences are I'm pretty sure Alaskans don't have to pay taxes and I don't have to live in a hellhole that has 2 hour days in the winter and no chicks. But otherwise pretty much the same thing.

Actually, a FTFR reg noob plo game could be fun, altho considering we only got like 3 people for the FTFR nlhe game, I doubt we get enough people. BTW, when you guys play plo, do you play "half" the stakes you play @ nlhe, to keep the variance comparable to what you are used to? I was eventually going to learn plo, but it's taking me forever to get good at FR. Lol. Also, isn't playing 6max nlhe a better leap from FR nlhe, than going to FR plo? Or are you plo players already good 6max nlhe players? Just wondering, since the day may come when I may want a change of pace from FR nlhe, and I assumed it would first be to 6max nlhe.

Not a fan of Ledererer's play on High Stakes poker

The TT hand was particularly bad

PLO is a totally different animal. If you don't play 6max, yeah, I'd recommend doing that first. But I'd also recommend doing that anyway because the fr games 5-10+ games are dead. Eventually you will want to move up or at least have more options.

your NLHE experience makes little to no difference when u start playing PLO, the games are so massively different you are better off forgetting everything you know about holdem' and start from scratch. I don't think i have played higher than 3/6 omaha online but i play up to 10/20 no cap live, and i would say PLO variance is about 4-5 times that of 6max NL so halfing stakes is not quite good enough. plus don't ever play PLO full ring it's the worst game ever, it's good 6max and shorter IMO with a 3-4 handed game being ideal

how the F do you guys play on this god forsaken site... the software is terrible

tables dont pop up and they give me 0.5 seconds to act so 15 minutes into my session I am sitting out on most of my tables sans timebank.

Under "Options," is "Display Table on Action" checked? If "no", I think you need to chip in an extra $20 to the HU tourney. :-)

Other tips: If the software is laggy, try turning the Animation off (also under Options). If you still hate the software, download the beta - it's supposed to be much faster/better. I have no major complaints about the software, so I'll wait until the full rollout.
