There's been a few times where guys were talking **** back forth and gotten to a point where like 2 dudes we like yo I want to meet up and fight you, and like other people from the forum show up to watch. But it's not even like an MMA match, just straight street fight where guys are gouging eyes and other dirty fighting. Seriously heard of like 4 or 5 fights that went down cause of message board **** talking... just so insane haha.

This isn't that surprising or insane to me really. MMA guys obviously have no problem with fighting and a street fight isn't that much different from what goes on in an MMA fight. It's how they prove themselves to each other.

It's the same as when there's an argument here and two people play HU. There is a dispute and they settle it the only way they know how which is playing poker. If you went in the MMA forum and were like "yo, when there's an argument in the poker forums these guys play 4 tables HU with a couple grand on each table!!!! Someone loses 10k+ every time!!!." I'm sure most of them would say, "Whoa, crazy. I'd rather get my ass kicked / eyes gouged."

I mean to a certain extent, but most guys aren't looking to start fights. I don't know any guys I've trained with before who try and start fights... not that there aren't any. There's a big difference an MMA fight where there's a ref and rules vs a street fight where anything can happen.

Some guy was saying on Myspace how he could submit Joe Rogan, and Joe Rogan sucks or whatever. So he's like whatever you can show up to my gym whenever you want and we'll roll. Rogan submitted him in like 20 seconds every time lol. But it's not like they were trying to hurt each other in that case.
