1/2 last night. Out of town so no history with anyone.

V1 on button (~$350). Lost a big pot earlier. Sees a lot of flops and is pretty nitty after.

V2 sb (~$200). Fish. Sees a lot of flops, Checked down a flopped set because of 3 to flush on board. Really passive.

Hero cutoff (~420). Seen win big pots without showing. Tag preflop, rarely limped.

Hero J10dd in cutoff, 1 limper. I raise to 10. V1 V2 call. Limper folds.

Flop 5d6x7d. V2 checks. Hero bets 20. V1 V2 call.

Turn 9x. Check all around.

River 8x. No flush out. V2 checks. Hero????

What gets the max value here?

Was just typing that I liked an overbet of some sort, to target any Tx.

People love to lose their minds on boards like this. Maybe not shove because we are 160bb deep with V1 at the river, so like $120?

pot is around $95 i think and stacks left are V1 $320 V2 $170

shoving is a bit to much imo. Don't think most people would call all in to be chopping at best. An overbet of around 120 as maquila said would probably get called i think. Looks like you're just trying to steal the pot then imo.

I'd probably play hand the same way to the river, where I would then shove. There's $90 in the pot so most players will figure that's enough money to call off their stack here in order to play the board and chop it up. Plus of course Tx is never folding.

They will and they do

most V are flat incapable of folding Tx here

Would shoving or betting large here make it look like i have a 10+ though? Still one to act so that would be pretty strong trying to sell I'm just playing the board, right?

You have to bet.

If you check and V1 does not have a T he would most likely check behind (or do you think he would bluff here?).

If you bet and he does have a T he will call your bet or even raise it, and without a T he could call it and expect to be chopping.

My point being is that the only way to get value from him if he has no T is betting, if he has a T you'll get value either way.
I would bet big because that looks like i'm bluffing imo and just trying to buy what would be a chop pot otherwise. It's always better to go with your own reads of what the villains would call ofcourse.

I'm shoving and praying for a 10 to snap you off, also I've seen many idiot players call a shove to chop... It's really quite depressing

Shove for maximum long term value. When you are playing LLSNL with people who make a lot of big mistakes give them the opportunity to live up to their potential. A ten is seldom folding and once in a while someone will convince themselves you are pushing them off a chop. Shoving is also good for the game and your image.

Anyone who folds here will be subject to tilt as well, especially if they fold a ten.

I didn't mean i would check to hope V1 bets. My action was betting small, i bet $60 and V2 called playing the board. What all of you have said makes sense, thanks everyone.

Anything less than a shove is pretty bad. If you bet anything less and get called by a T, you should feel horrible. If you bet less and get raised by a T, you should feel lucky to have been bailed out.

Shove, if someone has a ten, they will call. when the action gets to you, just say "all in" instead of pushing ur stack forward, counting it down and all of that. this gives villains an opportunity to call impulsively without seeing how many chips you have, etc.

Would also add that tank shoving (15-20 seconds) would set the hook in a 10 for sure.
