1/3 $500 deep

Villain is donating for what ever reason - raising blind - going all in pre for $500 with 52 and what ever else. He is stuck $1000 and has a wad of cash in his pocket - maybe $5000 and keeps saying he is going to leave soon.

I am trying to get involved in as many hands as I can before he dusts all his money off as is most of the table. Most of the table is playing pretty straight forward except for this guy

I get A7 and over limp from CO when UTG and LJ limp. BTN limps and Villain in BB checks his option this time.

$15
36Q

Checks to me and I go $10 to try and build the pot.

Folds to donator who goes $115
Short stack calls for $100 and is all in
I could call, or rip it - I could honestly have the best hand vs donator as he could do this with any draw or pair. I wouldn't be surprised if he did this with K high or a weaker draw.

Worst case scenario i'm against a set, very unlikely or 2 pair. If I call flop and turn bricks and he rips i'm gonna be in a tough spot so i lean on just shoving flop. Thoughts?

With shorty AI I just call and then call any further action OTT and obviously raise if A or spade comes in.

I'd rip it in - like you said you could be way ahead already, and worse case you got outs. Also if you lose and the whale does win, maybe that gives him more reason to stay.

If bankroll or tilt is an issue I would play it otherwise but I doubt thats an issue.

I'm cool with our overlimp preflop.

With the wild guy in the hand who could spazz at any second, I simply wait to make a hand. So I just happily check back the flop and attempt to bink. There's no reason to "build a pot" if the wild guy can fly off the handle and put in 30x the pot at any moment.

We've now put ourselves in a stoopid spot (one that we really didn't need to put ourselves in). It seems a little ambitious to think we're ahead at this point with the shorty calling the massive raise. Although obviously we have good equity against non-dominating one pear hands. Is donator going to rip the turn into a pretty much $0 side pot? I think I might just call as we mostly need to hit in this protected pot.

No reason for you to ever take the betting lead with a draw vs a p,ayer like this.

I would also just call. As gg mentioned it's a protected pot. Now, you could argue for building a side pot with the maniac but he would need to have something to call with.

He might fold the weaker hands but keep barreling them if you just call (into an empty side pot, nbd hold my beer!) Then it's a question of whether you should call turn if facing a big bet there...

Villain ended up having Q4
Short stack had QJ

I was essentially a coin flip on the flop having 46% equity vs Q4 and vs all 3 of them I had 47% and was the favorite in the 3 way. Calling and jamming would of both been fine, just not sure which one is better.

Turn ended up being a 5c so that is not a good turn card for us - and we would not like a jam. A jam would be $350 into a pot of $985~ (stacks weren't exactly $500 - maybe $450 - but close enough) and we would need 35% equity to make the call and only have 31% equity so rough spot if we don't jam the flop and he rips the turn.

River was 10h so no luck for the flush draw.
