Aesah's problem is that he is so knowledgeable that he often outlevels himself into doing certain spewy things, like raising a bit too wide or a bit too OOP or trying to steal a bit too much. This session wasn't one of his best.

That being said, if I was asked to pick a single person at the table to stake for like a 5/10 game, it would be Aesah.

The guy to ILCD's immediate left seemed pretty solid as well, though, he wasn't involved in more than two hands because he was card dead, IIRC.

Guy on ILCDs left was solid.

Those saying JCW is a bad player should be careful about making assumptions based on a 3 hr show. Spewtard yes, winning pro yes. Bad player, no.

Wendy also. She plays weak tight sometimes but I'm sure is an earner at 2/3-5/5.

Be careful about what, lol. It's an observation that JCW is not nearly as good of player as his reputation.

Can he win in the games he play? Probably. Is he a major threat? Only when he runs like god.

I could only watch the first 90 minutes when nothing much happened but glad you ran well in the second half and it seems the consensus is you played well, which is great. well done.

lol yeah we all saw your reaction

Everyone in the chat thought it was an obvious call at the time but I think that was mostly us being able to see the cards. Consensus seemed to change to it being a fold or a call after the show.

It's hard being first to act after the bet though, if seat 4 bets and 5 folds I think it's a lot easier to find a call there.

If you're talking about the 88 hand vs 66 and 55, it's only a decision because of the turn check IP. Cali, can you tell us why you checked the turn after they checked to you twice?

FWIW, I was honestly expecting you to go down in flames of horrendous poker play, but I am pleasantly surprised to hear that you put in a solid performance.

I was down a 100$ already cbet bluffing and blinds off camera. I was looking for a value situation to win my first pot. To get the jitters out.

OTT I wasn't sure I could make both of them fold. Especially suijit I had no plan on bluffing him at all in that hand. Plus he can play tp funky. So I wanted just a little more information, like them checking to me again lol.

All in all played that hand bad. Its a lot of rhythm in poker. Winning your first hand is like hitting that first jumpshot. It settles you down into the zone.

Absolutely agree. Nothing worse than sitting at a table and going 2, 3 orbits before you finally win a hand. Even if it's just raising and taking the blinds, it's good.

you played that hand fine. people are easy to criticize when they know the whole cards (for example both Dave/Bart exclaim "what is he doing!?" when I overbet into ILCD's trips... an unbelievably profitable spot if villains are only continuing with 9x+. In fact sometimes they even fold 9x there, like on Tuesday's LATB)

I can only really think of 1 hand that was very bad IMO, the 3-bet size with JJ vs. me and Wendy.
