Just sat down, but I know sb from previous session. He is maniac. MP2 seems passive, saw him just call flop and turn on wet board with bottom set then bomb the river when filled up.

Hero has KQo in HJ. Hero has 1k, everyone covers

EP1 limps, MP2 limps, hero limps btn limps, sb raises to 40. Bb folds, all limpers call

FLOP: Q104r ($205). Sb checks ep checks MP bets 100. Hero calls? (Bad?). Everyone else folds.
Turn: 3 (completes rainbow) ($405). MP thinks for a min and bets 215.
Now what?

either raise pre or limp/3bet after the maniac raised if that's why you limped it. Why play it so passively?

As played it would depend more on the passive MP. When you limp/called pre, it makes the whole rest of the hand all out of whack. Your most likely no good I would think.

I didn't raise pf or limp 3bet because maniac 3 bets a good ammount and will 4 bet AI with pretty much any pair, axs +. Do I really want to play for 200bbs pf with KQo?

Don't limp KQo if you know SB is going to raise and you are not going to re-raise -- especially when so many others call. As played, I don't mind the call on the flop, but if MP2 is usually passive and he is betting into you, I can't see how KQ is good.

If maniac is 3betting (and 4betting) light, you should be able to make a fortune off of him.

I actually don't hate the line preflop. In games with a lot of passive players I think it can be OK to sometimes overlimp in late position with hands like KQ or AJ because you can dominate a lot of the limpers hands and possibly win a big pot when they can't get away from top pair.

But when the passive player in MP bets again on the turn I think it may be our hand that's dominated. I doubt he's doing this with QJ or worse, so I would just fold at this point.

In a game like this in LP with your hand I am 3betting PF. You flopped TPGK and don't really know where you are at against the limper. He could be set mining, has two pair, AQ, or some type of draw. But in this situation most of the time you are either way ahead or way behind.

Also, why aren't you raising that flop bet? You're setting yourself up for a big river pay off if the V makes such a value bet.

Limping is fine. Overcalling the SB's bet is not so fine.

You can limp/fold sometimes. It's allowed and totally within the rules. This is a spot where I would strongly consider it. You limped a hand that flops well kind of often, in position, with deep stacks. Fine. But when it got back to you, you were looking at a 5-way hand with an SPR of 4 against players who all just declared that they are sticky (ie. limp/called for 8x.) That's an EV black hole dude.

It looks like a good spot for a squeeze raise to $275. But having just sat down, I think I would lean towards just folding. Personally I find it's easier to work a tight image to my advantage rather than a loose one, but YMMV

This is my thought on the pre-flop line -- SpexDome just took the time to write it out. Hate the limp/call in this lineup.
