Hello everyone, thank you for taking a look. Your input is greatly appreciated. I know I have been posting a lot of hands lately, and I apologize if it appears like I'm trying to spam. The truth is that I'm just in a tough spot at the moment and need to find out if my logic is horribly flawed. So if you think that I'm making horrible mistakes please don't hesitate to let me know. I rather take the abuse here than on the tables. So once again, thank you everyone for your honesty.

Hero (BTN) - 235. Playing LAG in position and TAG OOP.
V1 - (HJ) - 300. Thinking reg. Just sits with his Ipad on youtube all day and waits for hands.
V2 (MP) - 200. Casual young Asian player.

Folded to V2 he calls 2 HJ makes it 10 I call on BTN with AJ folded back to V2 he calls. Pot is 32.

Flop is 8AJ MP checks HJ makes it 25 I raise to 65. My thought process at this point would be to fold out any possible draws excluding OESFD and anyone that calls me will most likely be holding AK AQ AJ AT A8. MP folds and HJ calls after tanking. Pot is 163.

Turn is T HJ checks and I jam for 160.

Please give me your honest opinions.

unfortunately this turn bet will have a very hard time getting called by anything worse than AJ.

I most definitely agree with you. I just didn't want to see another diamond or broadway card come.

it's not too bad if these cards come, you can usually safely fold against most people if they bet them.

Sir, I agree with you again. What would you say the optimal move for me OTT is?

as played there's little left to do on turn but check back. solid villains only has a set or a flush draw and both of them have you drawing at 4 outs.

But, let's go back to the flop action for a second.

If your reason to raise was to "protect from draws" you raised way too small.

But I would just call flop. flush draws are a small part of his range. if villain doesn't think you're bluffing a lot he'll just fold AK/AQ/AT to your raise unless he's a fish.

I like the way you post! I have to agree with all of this.

Seems pretty standard.

Definitely not shoving flop, too big an overbet.

Maybe we check back turn and gii on the river.

People want to raise more on the flop and then slow down when draw gets there. My logic is that if we are going to be stacking off when a diamond hits anyway, I want to get it in on the flop, even if it is an overbet. But, that doesn't seem popular. So what amount are you guys raising to on the flop? And ... are we ever folding after we raise to that amount?

I'd raise bigger on the flop. If he bets 25, I'd like a raise to 85. That's an action flop, and you don't want to give them a cheap draw. The bigger raise will also set up a more comfortable turn shove.

Let's say you raise the flop to 85 and HJ calls. The pot is now 202, and your remaining stack is 140. That's a reasonable shove. In that case, I'm going to shove, because Villain can have a lot of other things besides diamonds, and the river is quite likely to scare us even more.
