My thinking here was bet/fold. V1 would call with worse hands, and only raise with the nuts. If I checked here, he might go all in and put me in a bad spot.

This seems fine to me. You can easily have the ace of diamonds in your range so if he shoves I think you can fold.

raise more pre, like $120. Bet more on flop to tax draws, like $190 at this pot size. Calling turn is fine. Weak bets tend to be weak hands at this stage so now we're pot controlling. Leading river is bad, nothing worse is calling, but worse may bet so we have showdown value.

I like the river bet if your read that he only raises with better is very solid.

Yes, I guess V will call with a smaller diamond when the bet is so small.

Probably really dynamics/read depending on how V acts during later streets and how bluff-happy/aggro he is when checked to on river.
