Yes not 3 betting here is just so bad. Are you playing on case money?

I would raise with the dead money in there.

As played it’s a fold.

If you can get it to HU with a 3bet, then 3bet. If it is a table that is just going to call the 3bet to crack your obvious AA, then call pf.

I'm just going to play the other side here to hear your reasoning. V's PF raise was UTG. Assuming he's not getting completely out of line, how much of his UTG-raising range is JJ really ahead of?

If he has a somewhat standard utg open as shown, quite a bit. Even vs a pretty tight 7% open range you still are decently ahead. Not 3 betting with this hand letting it go multiway oop is a big leak.

How small of a pocket pair would you 3bet here from SB?

Depends on stack sizes and opener's range and others likely calling ranges.

QQ+. Keep in mind that I have a *very* small EP open range. For 3b it becomes tiny.

That doesn't mean everyone else does.

So you think everyone is only opening TT+ and AK UTG?

You're missing out on a ton of value and not realizing a lot of your equity playing this hand the way you are.

I get it, it sucks when they have AA/KK but those hands are reshoving anyways at 1/2 and 100bb and less especially.

A lot of hands that just call your 3 bet are often losing money. Also often you have guys that will flat QQ and not realize their equity when they play it like how you would.

When the flop comes A K x who the 3 bettor is pf vs who is just the caller there is a huge difference in who will typically win this pot.

I'm super tight but JJ is a trivial 3bet here and I call it off against unknowns if shoved upon.

AP easy fold now.

Need a read on your villain. Does he look like a man who is beaten by jacks?

It isn't a matter of how much I'm ahead of his range. It is more a matter of how much he thinks he's behind my range. I'm an old guy who plays pretty tight. Many of my villains assume I only 3 bet black aces.

If you are a 22 year old asian with ear buds in raising everything in sight, your results may vary.
