Hold on with the kings? Hold on with the kings?

2-5 850 efective stack hj+1 limps We have the kings on button make it 30. Sb calls hj+1 call. Flop 10 j 5 rainbow. They check we make it 45. Sb call hj+1 240 pretty quickly.

Reads on the guy room reg. Tried to get someone to play on his app earlier. So likely pro.

Has played relatively weak passive. Losing this session. Hasn’t been barreling people or making big river bets. Maybe he just hasn’t had good spots. He also slow played some big hands earlier.

Like I think the book says to flat once and decide on turn pots like 250. So less than potsize bet left if I call. Obviously I think he has a set of fives or 10j off. His play so far has been nut pedaler like, but he is youngish, so might not be. I do have a decent open range and a decent continuation bet frequency so it might not be a bad spot for him to run a bluff. Like if there was flush draw obviously I would not consider folding. But on rainbow kind of scared.

Bet bigger on the flop, like $75. Call the c/r

What’s “HJ+1”

Definitely folding here. This is going to be 55s, or J10o a lot.

You say he’s likely a pro, but the HH starts off with him open limping?

If he’s played relatively weak passive and throws in a big x/r I’m not happy taking one pear to the streets.

Let him have it imo

Guessing HJ+1 is CO. Not that it matters much, it’s a limpy cally fish.

If he has JTo, he probably has 98o. Question is if he makes a raise with 98o like this. From your read, it doesn’t sound like it. We also block the KQ. Sucks but we should probably fold.

Also it’s not impossible for the guy who called not closing the action from having us beat, too

What does a pro’s open limping range look like from HJ+1?

I try not to open limp anything for a myriad of reasons but it seems like it’s usually small/mid pocket pairs and suited aces?
