Great game. Depends on a field, but rake is very light.
No cap buy in. Yammy!

Obviously depends on the players, but most likely, yes.

the standard of players are incredibly bad....you get a few guys who are fairly competent but nobody who is going to put you into many tough spots.......the majority, however, play any 2 cards and love to gamble.....

Rake on average is probably about $3/hand*30 hands (assuming 10% up to 5 which is pretty typical) = 90/hr. Here you're paying 6*10=60/hr. Pretty decent deal IMO.

I think not. It's prolly one of the best rakes I've heard of in some time.

That's not bad rake at all... I used to play in a 1/2 game that had $6/30 min... which is still not the worst. This sounds like a great game especially considering there's no max buy in.

That's pretty damn juicy.

Just to put that in perspective, at my card room at the £1/£1 table it's 10% rake with a cap of £7. (£7 = approx. $11). At £1/£2 it's 5% capped at £10.

So it only needs to be about a £40 pot or so for me to pay more in rake on one hand than you'd pay in an hour.

However the fact that you even have to ask this question rings alarm bells for me. Are you a winning player? Do you play online?

If you're a winning player online you will absolutely CRUSH low-stakes live poker, especially with that rake. If you're not a winning player yet, your first priority is to make sure you're not the fish at the table, before making plans for $21/hr....

Then you will love live poker - might take you a couple of months to adjust tho. Live play is -nothing- like online play. If you raise preflop online you can expect one, maybe two callers.

At 1/2 you can raise to 8x the big blind and still get called by half the table....

GRUNCH

WOW!!!!!

This is a super great game.

Across the pond in the States, typical rakes for 1/2nl live are $5 PER HAND!!!!!!

So, at 30 hands per hour, that is a rake of $150/hr, compared to your 6 pounds per hour

so this should give you a sense of perspective.

well the $150 is not the responsibility of only one player, so really assuming completely even distribution, its 60pounds/hr for the table... which is around $100/hr
