1/2 NL - Horseshoe Hammond

Villain: ($700) Unknown. Mid 20s, seems like he's plays like once a week or something but still pretty new. From what I've seen so far he's very tight-passive.

Preflop: 3 limpers, Hero limps with A6 4 more limpers including V in BB.

Flop: ($15) A96 Checks around to UTG who bets $10, Hero raises to $35, V cold calls, UTG folds.

Turn: ($90) 5 V checks, Hero checks.

River: ($90) 2 V checks, Hero bets $35

Yeah, b/f is good there. I make it a bit bigger to a) get more value, and b) be less likely to induce when we can't call a raise. $50, imo.

Without any other information or read on villain's range except he is very tight/passive, I think I check river back. If he is tight his flop range for calling the raise is something like flush draws, sets, two pair and AK/AQ. By river the hands hero beats are the least likely and may fold to any bet, while the hands that beat hero will make a crying call.

With better information, particularly what AX hands villain will call the flop raise with, I might bet/fold river for $50 or so.

This.

I'd also at least consider betting turn. There are plenty of Ax and back door flush draws to extract value from.

Also checking the river is a joke here.

I'd actually be bluffing this spot quite often.

If you are going for 2 streets of value, bet flop, bet turn, check river is better than checking turn and betting river. Given description of villain, I think you can go 3 streets of value, though it is thin.

As played, definitely bet the river.

I'd bet this turn. As played, bet 50 to 65 on the river and fold to a raise unless you have a read.

Bet-Fold is the secret to beating low stakes. Bet 60-70 here and fold to raises.

Bet $65 on the turn to get value from Ax, worse 2 pair hands and QX and KX hands. As played, I bet $65 on the river and feel good about my hand but if you bet the turn you could have made your river bet substantially bigger and thus gotten more value in the hand.
