Did I slow roll here.....? Did I slow roll here.....?

1/2 no limit 9 handed Hero $235 V1 $500 + V2 $80.

Been at the table a few orbits...seems generally loose passive with a lot of limp calling. Typically raise at the table $10-$12.

Hero is UTG and dealt AA and raises to $12.

Fold V2 calls Fold Fold Fold Button Calls $12

SB raises to $35. BB Folds. Hero thinks for 20 seconds and four bets another $75 on top. V2 goes all in for less and SB calls the addtional $75.

Flop: J83 Pot: Main $240ish Side $75ish

SB checks Hero shoves for about $125 SB calls.

SB says my Aces are good...Turn Q SB says aces are still good

River 6

Board J83Q6

Hero then turns over aces and scoops the side pot. V1 shows KK and V2 shows 22

Should Hero have shown aces after all the money was in on the flop or was it OK to wait until the river.

Rational behind waiting to the river...if V2 or V1 shows first and cracks my aces I wanted to muck without having to show them.

Thinking about it my hand was face up the way I played it. Possibly a better move would of been to flat the $35 pre and shove to a bet on the flop???

No, you didn't slowroll. Slowrolling would've been if you insisted the SB show first, or dramatically turned one ace over and then the other.

But I'm not sure why you're eager to muck your aces if they get cracked in this pot. This is a pretty standard shove scenario, and you aren't particularly giving information away by showing once all the money is in.

I think it's a bit more courteous to just flip your aces once the money is in. No reason not to, and it shows respect for V1 who ran into a tough spot here with kings.

But it isn't slowrolling if you wait till the river. And I say that as someone who believes slowrollers deserve their own special circle of hell.

This is not slow rolling.

Depends on what I think or feel about the player whether I show or not. Also how fast I show depends too.

Tommy Angelo goes through this very well in Elements of Poker.

Not a slowroll, but also maybe not the best way to do it.

Not a slowroll. Out of courtesy, I show my hand before showdown if I know that I'm way good. But doing so is not necessary at all.

Flatting pre makes a lot of sense given relative positions/stacks. But as you saw, people at LLSNL aren't aware these factors nor are they going to be able to fold QQ/KK pre/post (on that board) anyway. 4 bet/gii ASAP. Nh.
